Chapter 1: Why did Anthony Edwards miss the starting lineup?
Uncomfortable is a good place to start. Okay. We'll start in the NBA. Now, the Knicks played tonight. They were off last night. But in Dallas, you had T-Wolves Mavericks. He's looking to drive the basketball. Sure. Two-man game. And it's in the cup with a flush. Right back at you, Coop. Ironically, he calls it the flush, the dunk, all of that. Anthony Edwards, 17, off the bench.
So the big thing on social media yesterday, and if you tuned in in Dallas or in, of course, Minnesota, where is Anthony Edwards? He was supposed to be in the starting lineup, but yet he wasn't there. Mike Connolly started in place of him. He was, as he told reporters and was asked afterwards if everything was okay.
What happened to you for the first meeting of the game?
I was taking a s***.
Oh. Yeah. But, yeah, like I said, Mike held it down for me.
Simple as that. That's very direct. The amazing thing about the Timberwolves is that after the trade... God love you, Boomer. You're going to give me a serious Timberwolves take right now after Anthony Edwards just said, I'm taking a dump, and that's why I missed. Yeah, because I'll tell you why.
Because I think the Knicks have been taking the same thing because both of them have essentially the same record after the trade. Nothing's changed. Wow. You know, I'm surprised more guys don't have to dupe during games. I've always said this about Andy Reid. You tell me all that time that he was on the sideline, he's never had to take a dump during a game. Big guy like that.
It can happen at any time. I would say that he probably does it before the game because pregame meal is four hours before game time. Yeah, he's got to be on a metamucil situation or something like that, too. And he's got a nice private office with a nice private bathroom in the head coach's office at the stadium.
Yeah, so this was probably like a multiple poop situation for Anthony Edwards because there's no way this was just like a regular... I got this poop. I would think he probably ate something that didn't agree with him.

Chapter 2: What was the outcome of the Phillies vs. Nationals game?
Maple Leafs-Ducks. Now, why would I bring this up? So you have, if you go back to March 12th, you've got the injury to Austin Matthews that knocked him out for the season. It was a knee-to-knee contact from Radko Gudis, who was given a five-game suspension for that.
Now, Gudis has been missing time due to an upper body injury, yet wanted to play last night, and this is why, as this is how the game began.
And the clubs come off. It's going to be Domi and Dubas. So just one fight. And Max Domi, in defense of the captain, is teeing off. Is he ever. And Max Domi gets more than a measure.
And that was Maple Leafs TV with the call there. So this goes into the game. This isn't postgame. This is into the game. So as I mentioned, he hasn't played, but he basically forced his way into the lineup and was asked if he expects it to be a chippy game.
Are you expecting some fireworks tonight? I mean, do you anticipate it? And is that one of the reasons to get in there and kind of? Yeah, I think it's going to be an intense game. Yeah, one of the reasons why I wanted to play.
All right, so that's one of the reasons. You heard him say address things. He's got to score major points in the locker room, too, for doing stuff like this. I think he does, but he's the guy that went knee-on-knee with Dawson Matthews, so this is obviously a contribution from Ty Domi. This is like, what's his name, Ratnan, did not play against the Islanders.
Right, but he did play here and then taking accountability.
It's part of the two that not only you want to play, but that if you're not in there, you don't want your teammates to be susceptible to any retribution. Exactly. That's another thing. I'm standing behind my own mistakes. I'm going to address it myself.
Address it himself. And he did, and so they got that over with. I've written rules in the NHL, man. Exactly. And Max Domi. You said Ty. I did that too before. That's Max Domi. And then another one before I get to our locals. This is baseball related. The Nationals played the Phillies yesterday. First inning did not go well for the Phillies. They wound up losing 13-2.

Chapter 3: How did Bo Bichette perform in his recent game?
Guys, we've got a couple things here. A, the Nationals were terrible. Blitz the Phillies. B, bad play by Edmundo Sosa. So we check in with our guy Broads in Philly. We're only a few games into the season, and fair to say not happy with that loss.
This is a f***ing disgrace. What are we doing? 13-2? You got absolutely embarrassed by the f***ing Washington Nationals.
13-2. Fair. And on that bad play that I just played for you with Sosa? Edmundo Sosa has no idea where to throw the baseball in the first inning. Get the out! Get the out! I mean, this really is Sam Kinison and Howard Eskin having a baby. I mean, that's what happened here. Oh, boy.
He's wild, man.
He's passionate, man. Broods media, yeah. But, hey, we don't mind. The Phillies lost. Tough for them, right? Locally, the Mets do beat the Cardinals 4-2. We've played the Bo Bichette RBI single. You had an RBI double from Jared Young. You heard about that. Here was Bichette. A lot better than the weekend win against the Pirates.
As a competitor, I expect to be in a good place all the time. But, I mean, I don't know if that's a sign of anything. I just... Honestly, I just want to be in a position to compete every at-bat, and I felt like I did a better job of that today.
And then there's Clay Holmes, who went five and two-thirds for the win. No surprise from him that Bichette came through.
He's a smart hitter. I mean, you kind of knew that facing him, but being around him, hearing him talk, it's a really good idea of just who he is and what he can do and who he's facing. I mean, I think when he's going well, I mean, he covers so much.
And then in terms of Holmes himself, how did he do Carlos Mendoza?

Chapter 4: What were the highlights of Cal Raleigh's walk-off single?
Devin Williams, the save. The Mets are 3-1. The Cardinals 2-2. Kodai Senga makes the start tonight. Late loss for the Yankees to the Mariners. Tie game in the ninth. Cal Raleigh was given the day off, but needed to hit late, and he came through. Next run, wins it. The 2-1. Hit hard. Fair ball. Cal Raleigh walks it off against the Yankees.
And that was M's TV.
Big butt extravaganza. That was M's TV, Mariners TV, with the game we heard from Dave Sims earlier this morning. 2-1 was the final. Luis Castillo, six scoreless innings, two at ball, seven strikeouts. Here was Raleigh postgame. He approached in that last at bat.
I was just looking for something hard. Something hard in the heart of the play. And it cut into my hands a little bit, but I was able to keep it fair. So... Yeah, to me, I was just trying to get barrel on the ball, trying to get something to the outfield, trying to square something up, keep it simple.
And he did, and they win the game. I mentioned the fact that Castillo was really good, six scoreless. Austin Wells, who was 0-3 on the night with a couple of strikeouts, was asked what made Castillo so good.
I don't know. I didn't touch anything from him, so I'm going to ask somebody else.
Fair answer, that courtesy of the YES Network. We talked about the NFL meetings going on in Phoenix. Here was John Harbaugh. So a couple of things from Harbaugh of note. Number one, Jeremiah Love's name came up. And so he spoke about the player, but also about the idea of you've got to win games, which we heard from earlier.
You need to keep the fans behind us, and you do that by winning games, and you win games by getting great players.
We want them to come out to the stadium and be happy after the game and be celebrating. And to do that, we've got to build the very best team we can. So you build the best team you can with the best players you can get. You put them out there and you let them play. So that's where it starts.

Chapter 5: What did Jets GM Darren Mougey say about Ty Simpson?
Darren Mugee was also in Phoenix. I certainly expect him to be. He talked to SNY about the dinner he had with Ty Simpson and their interest in him.
It was good. It was a good opportunity for us to meet with Ty. I got a chance to meet him at the Combine as well in a formal interview, but kind of follow up with that and just spend some time with him. Really get to kind of know the person. It was good. It was a good meeting.
And the follow up was, would you want a rookie behind Geno Smith or would you prefer to have a veteran?
We'll exhaust all options in terms of what that room looks like. That's an ongoing process as well, but I think we'll be comfortable with a veteran or a young guy.
And these are what, just two days, right? Yesterday and today, these are short meetings? Yeah, pretty much. Three days, I guess. And I guess they're also moving forward with... Obviously, it's only March, March 31st, but this replacement ref thing is picking up more and more steam. All accounts say they are far apart with the real refs. They're putting pressure on the referees.
They're not under any sort of immediate time frame. They have some time before they can get this thing done. I hope they get it done. I don't think anybody wants to see replacement refs at all. You know what would be a great replacement ref would be Al. How much he loves rules and stuff. Yeah. And he'd argue with people and hold it as ground. You should try out for that.
That would be unbelievable. The thing that looks troubling is having to run down the sideline when a wide receiver's. Yeah, it's true. How about getting in the way of a linebacker pursuing a play? How about we make you the referee so you have to announce to the crowd what the penalty is and then what you have to enforce it with? I couldn't even imagine you doing that.
I mean, the replacement refs have to have some sort of experience doing this, right? I heard they're looking at Division II and Division III refs. Do you realize how many rules there are in the NFL? Yeah. I mean, it's insane. It's going to be tough. And the Islanders with a tough loss to the Penguins. This is a three-on-one for Kendall and the Penguins.
And it's saved by Sorokin, and he had to reach behind him, and they score. Kendall stayed with it and put it into the crease for Avery Hayes. And the two Penguins rookies have made it 6-3. And that was Brendan Burke on MSG. Penguins win 8-3 as they move a point ahead of the Isles for second place in the division. Ryan Pullicks is just a bad night.

Chapter 6: How did the Phillies' loss affect fans in Philadelphia?
Guys behind us, breakaways, losing puck battles. You know, it is just... halfway through that period, we were just awful defensively.
Which is not what you want to hear. Tonight, the Islanders are in Buffalo against the Sabres. You've got the Rangers and the Devils, and I mentioned the Knicks playing. They'll be in Houston tonight while the Nets take on the Hornets on the fan at 7.30.
