Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
It's the Boomer and Geo podcast from WFAN. And we're coming to you live from the build for tough studio, Boomer Esiason, Greg Giannotti. It's Boomer and Geo on the fan, simulcast across the country on CBS Sports Network. And we're everywhere on the free Odyssey app. Go!
Good Friday morning, a feel-good Friday with no football this weekend, at least no games being played, but still a lot of action out there. We saw Rob Sala get introduced and basically said he didn't know what he was doing when he was the Jets head coach, so he'll be better this time. So I'm sure the Jet fans absolutely loved that.
Hearing that, more names attached to the Giants and their offensive coordinator position, including Davis Webb, who was a huge talking point on this radio station for weeks and weeks and months and months with Geno Smith and Davis Webb and benching Eli Manning. So it's funny that his name is back. and trades in the NBA. Will it happen or not?
Not a lot of action yesterday on the Giannis front, so we'll be paying attention to that throughout the morning and the weekend. Another win by the Islanders. WFAN Islander Night is tomorrow night, so I am representing to thank them for hosting us in the owner's box on Saturday night. Good morning, Boomer. How are you? Not great. It's a feel-good Friday, man.
Wake your ass up, and you're not going to get any snow, which is awesome. Well, which is a little disappointing. I thought we were going to get hit with a bomb cyclone.
Why would you want that?
Why would you want your friends and family to suffer? It's not suffering, man. I think about the kids going out and playing in the snow, and that's what I think, and it looks like... all my grandkids that can actually get up and go outside, enjoy it and have a lot of fun.
Yeah.
There's still snow on the ground that they can enjoy. Yeah. But you know, new, new, fresh three feet would have been awesome. You know, that's just the way it is. And anyway, so yeah, it looks like you have spoke it into an existence of moving out.

Chapter 2: Why is Bill Belichick on the Hall of Fame ballot while still coaching?
Did you see the Chief Kindness Officer named yesterday? That's what Al opened with. Yeah, I saw it. I was going to save it, but I have to break glass in case of emergency right now. So, yeah, this guy named Dar Mann got named the Chief Kindness Officer for Super Bowl week. And Dar Mann has got some stuff in his past that was not great. Okay. You know, defrauding.
He was charged with 13 felony counts of fraud for allegedly defrauding a city beautification program while operating his real estate company, Man Edge Properties. Well, I mean, if you think about what's going on right now, this fits perfectly.
Right.
The conviction was later expunged. Okay. But it's a part of his story. So, yeah, so Chief Kindness Officer, which I'm not sure exactly why they felt like they needed the Chief Kindness Officer for Super Bowl week, but they did. I mean, it's in California. Maybe that's why. Chief Kindness Officer? Yeah. But why? Just because you feel like that's like a very... Like, what word am I looking for?
I mean, is he responsible for Dave Portnoy? No. No, he's not. No. Because Dave Portnoy, is he allowed back into the Super Bowl? He is. He is allowed back. He is. Let's see. By the way, Dave Portnoy was also the one that amplified the fact that John Gruden got this job offer from the Jets, and then John Gruden yesterday came out and basically said, I never got a job offer from the Jets.
Yeah, which is interesting because he did it in a way that was like, no one from the Jets reached out. And I was like, all right, but was that something that... Did Rich Cimini reach out? Like, I don't know. Like, was he being... Say he should have made John Gruden the chief kindness officer. That would have been something.
Yeah, like, for example, maybe someone from, like, the 33rd team had reached out and gauged his interest or something, and he was able to say no one from the Jets reached out. Well, remember that Rick Spielman is part of the Jets as a consultant. Yeah. So I think he's sitting... Somewhere, I don't know, around Darren Muji to help him navigate the GM responsibilities. Yeah.
And maybe the guy that's seen from a very close-up view that the coaches needed to be changed. You know, nobody's really talking about him. He's there. He's involved. I know, but it doesn't seem like he's involved with the coaches. It just seems like... Aaron Glenn is involved with Darren Moochie and running the franchise. Yeah, sure. How many people as well?
Yeah, it's going to be even more now. I mean, if you think about it, with all the other coaches that are going to have to come with whoever is the offensive coordinator, if we're assuming it's Frank, he's going to have his own guys, and then he's going to start paying those guys, and then Frank's going to command a salary that's more so than maybe your average offensive coordinator.

Chapter 3: Who was appointed as the NFL's Chief Kindness Officer for Super Bowl week?
We've got a lot of fun stuff on the way. It's the Boomer and Geo podcast from WFAN. Hi, Boomer and Geo on the Fan and CBS Sports Network. We've got CeeLo here. You're looking good. Yeah? I like the haircut. Got it yesterday. It's fresh. You had a couple of bad haircuts recently, so I wanted to point out that you got a good one.
I went in yesterday, kind of like, you know, spur of the moment, and when I walked in, there was a woman that approached right away who had butchered me in the past. Oh! So I gave her the polite stiff arm. I was like, uh... another gal who does a good job who generally has a bit of a weight. I was like, how many people are we? Is she better looking? No, it has nothing to do with that. Oh, really?
Yeah. These are older women, Boomer.
Oh, I didn't know that.
I thought you were going to, like, Supercuts. It's something like that, but they're older. It's fine. No big deal.
What are you going to, a salon? No. An old woman's salon?
No, no, no. Like, great clips.
Okay. Well, there you go.
Yeah, I don't go to, because it's easy. I can check it on the app. I can parachute any time I want. I don't go to, like, one guy. I'm not judging. I'm not judging. So anyway, the woman there who does, there's a couple of them that do a really nice job. And I knew, you know, she could be more dependent upon. So I said, how many for her? She's got one more. I'm like, oh, I'll just wait for her.

Chapter 4: What did Jon Gruden say about the Jets job offer rumors?
That's why I believe that there's something he's skirting himself around it. That's why.
Like no one came directly to him, but maybe a representative.
Something like that. But it's not a big deal either way. I mean, for John Gruden, it's not. For Jets fans wondering what the hell their franchise is doing, it's a big deal. But for John Gruden, it's like, yeah, whatever. They reached out or they didn't reach out. He's acting as if, with all the crap he's been through, I mean, this is nothing with his name being in the news cycle. Yes.
You referenced the fans. That leads us to our next thing here. It's been another offseason of we'll call them bad looks for the Jets with all the coaching staff stuff and Aaron Glenn and still needs to hire not one but two coordinators. So let's check in with our guy BT, see what he's up to from his new YouTube show, his channel, whatever.
As you can imagine, fed up with his football team, specifically the guy who writes the check.
Be honest with yourself, Woody. You're a loser.
Which sounds... Oh, man, I missed that. We've heard that before.
Stop walking around work like a loser.
And he would continue briefly on Woody.
