Chapter 1: What coaching changes are happening with the Titans and Bills?
It's the Boomer and Geo podcast from WFAN. All right, Boomer and Geo coming to you live from the Built for Tough studio on the Fan and CBS Sports Network. 888-808-1019 is the number to call. And that's the Red Pocket Mobile fan line. It's brought to you by your new ultimate cell carrier, Red Pocket Mobile. You see that photo on CBS Sports Network, Grand Central Station. Look how quiet it looks.
Yeah, right now, very, very nice and quiet. It's 7 o'clock. It's like, you know, people should be getting to work or people staying home because of the weather. Well, that may not be a live shot. I don't know. Stephen Waldron, CBS Sports, was that a live shot of Grand Central Station or is this one of those canned things that you throw in there every now and again?
This would be one of those can of things that we throw there. Ah, well, it still looks good. I don't know when that is, but it does look good. And that's exactly what they want to paint. This was actually during original COVID time. This was March 2020. Oh, this is what that was? This was the snow day? Okay. Yes. I'm sure it's much busier today. Yeah, I would think it would be. Okay.
So anyway, that's what they want Penn Station to look like, and they want to move the garden. And Penn Station was taken over by the MTA, so that's a federal situation. Not the MTA. I'm sorry about this. Amtrak. Federal. It's a federal situation.
But they've still got to figure out where they're going to move the garden, which would take New York City and New York State to work together with the federal government. I don't know. Would Trump do it and do a Trump Pennsylvania station like he did Trump Kennedy Center? If he gets to it. Oh, he's thinking about it, believing. If he gets to it.
All right, so I gave you a couple of things before the break. One, if you truly believe that there is a New York football curse and you have Saquon Barkley going to the Eagles and winning the Super Bowl and Sam Darnold now, he's in the Super Bowl and you've got...
You know, the Patriots who have been a pain in the neck for the Jets forever and all of these things, these guys leaving New York and having success elsewhere. Put a bet on the Tennessee Titans because you've got Rob Sala and Brian Dable. How many phone calls are we going to take if these guys are successful down in Tennessee, win that division, and go to the playoffs?
You had both these guys, and you let them go. You had him and you let him go. I better not hear any of that because we didn't take a single phone call that said that they should have kept either one of these guys. And I think the timing of the Rob Sala firing was crazy. I think they should have let him play the season out and see what would have happened with Aaron Rodgers.
Keep it stable and let it play itself out. But yeah, you're going to get huge odds on that. If you are someone who believes that everybody who leaves New York flourishes elsewhere, you're going to get huge odds on the Titans to win the division, to go to the playoffs, to represent the AFC and win the Super Bowl. Why not? Don't forget Aaron Rodgers. He also led Pittsburgh to the playoffs.

Chapter 2: How does Mike McCarthy view Aaron Rodgers' future?
Tennessee comes to the Giants.
It's going to be a tough day for Brian Dable. Going back to MetLife on the other sideline. John Harbaugh's Giants with all the guys that he loves. Jackson Dart just trouncing them in a cloud of dust. You never know. Maybe Cam Ward goes off. Cam Scadaboo and Jackson Dart doing TikTok dances in the end zone as the Giants go up 30-10. Remember when Brian Dable got Josh Allen? What happened?
Well, yeah, sure. But this is why the NFL is so great. There's so many of these juicy stories. Juicy. Juicy, baby. Juicy, juicy mango. You're looking very nice. Tingle-a-ling-a-ling, tingle-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling. So Joe Brady gets elevated as the offensive coordinator.
We sat here and said the two guys that make sense are Brian Dable, who we were just talking about, and then elevating Joe Brady because Josh Allen needs to have a sense of comfort with whoever that guy is and bringing in somebody else. Now, this is not one of those situations where Josh Allen himself has underachieved and you feel like you've got to bring in a guy to rev the engines on him.
That's where I think people are like, you can't, you know, Ask Josh Allen, or it doesn't matter if Josh Allen has a relationship. I've seen counter takes to what we've been saying. Not in the situation where Josh Allen's playing unbelievable football. That's not what you do.
Now, if he was underachieving, for example, we talked about Mike Tomlin and his coordinators, and they believe that Ben Roethlisberger was underachieving when Bruce Arians was there because those two guys were too close, and then Bruce Arians was known to get people's asses, but he wasn't doing it with Ben for whatever reason. Like... You know what I mean.
He's known for getting in, you know, yelling at you. Like, in a figurative sense. You know? Like, he just got in that guy's ass. You know what I mean? So anyway, they decided to let Bruce Arians go. They did this faux retirement thing. And then they brought in Todd Haley, who's been in more asses than Bruce Arians. But here's the thing. That relationship is vital, man.
It is vital for the quarterback. Yeah. And, you know, again, I just, you know, just harken back. Hmm. to the offensive coordinators and the quarterback coaches that I had relationships with and the great, the great, the guys that I got along with really well and other guys I didn't.
And, you know, that's why I think the Joe Brady signing for the head coaching job up there makes a lot of sense, not only for that, because he's also been dealing with Brandon Bean for all these years. Yeah. You know, bringing somebody from the outside and being slapped down by a general manager. Well, and an owner, too, after seeing how Terry Bagula's involved.

Chapter 3: What impact does the Knicks' recent game have on their season?
You guys are talking about Jet Giants to Super Bowl winners. I think you're missing one of your favorites, Gio. Our boy, the young Joker, Kadarius Toney. Yep. A great example there, Matt. Kadarius Toney, young Joker, who even scored a touchdown. In the Super Bowl as well. He wasn't just there on the roster. He scored a touchdown. I mean, and now he's in total obscurity. He's not on a roster.
He's fully dedicated to his rap career. And he had some really good, really good hits. Some big hits. He did? Yeah. Oh, wow. We've gone over this before. Young Joker. Like Codeine Dream. Oh, yes. Codeine Dream. That's my favorite. Codeine Dream. Play With Me. King of the Slums. Let's see. What else? Wok. Waka Waka? It's actually iPod. It's Codeine Dreamin'. Not just Codeine Dream. Goat Talk.
Exotic Whips. NASA. Some to Prove. I mean, these are all huge jams. NASA the Space Agency? Well, that's the name of the song. Yeah, NASA. N-A-S-A. NASA. Patience, hood legend, king of the hill. I mean, young Joker, he's got, let's see how many subscribers on, he's got 5,000 subscribers on YouTube, so he's got some work to do there. More than Alan Jerry.
Yeah.
No, he's got, well, his last, you know what? It's not more than Alan Jerry. So his last video that he posted three weeks ago, young joker, exclusive footage and behind the scenes, only 239 views. Yeah. It helps when you win the Super Bowl. That kind of raises your visibility, you know, and you're hanging out with Patrick Mahomes.
I'm surprised Taylor Swift didn't get involved in this and help him out a little bit. Yeah. Didn't he forget his shoes or something? Remember that? Oh, one shoe. He played his first practice. He had one shoe. Oh, my God. What a, just a horrendous, horrendous pick. And that all happened because, so that was the Gettleman era, and they really wanted Devontae Smith.
So to their credit, you know, they scouted it properly, and they wanted Devontae Smith, but then the freaking Cowboys and Eagles make a trade together within the NFCs, two rival teams, so the Eagles jump ahead of the Giants. Yes. Take Devontae Smith, who ends up winning the Super Bowl with the Eagles alongside Saquon Barkley, who didn't know that at the time. And A.J. Brown.
Yeah, and the Giants are devastated, wanted a wide receiver so badly that they went to the next guy on their board, and that was Young Joker. And at that point, Young Joker was born. And he was actually really exciting. Like, the first couple of games that he plays, like, this guy looks different on the field, man. Like, look at him.
I think he just did not have the aptitude to figure it out, you know? Or would get hurt and hamstrings and things like that. Yeah, well, he just didn't care enough. I mean, yeah, the other thing, too, is that, you know, like people sleeping in meetings, so I would think that John Harbaugh is going to make sure that Abdul Carter is awake. Oh, are you kidding me? And keep guys awake. Come on, boys.

Chapter 4: What are the implications of the Jets' firing of their offensive coordinator?
Here was Peralta. He is ready to be a Met.
You know, his business and And being honest, I'm really happy about, you know, to be here in New York and represent the New York Mets organization.
He did say he didn't expect to be traded, which I thought was interesting because I feel like his name was rumored, you know, a lot of the winter. Especially with the contract year. You know what? I hope this Met locker room is like crazy. I want it to be happy. I want it to be like just like exuberant. Obviously winning is going to be a big part of that, but personalities.
And this guy, reading about this guy, Freddy Peralta, used to have a bunch of guys over his house and party and have a good time with his teammates. Nice. Sounds like a great add to the group and exactly what you wanted. You wanted a top-end starter, you got one. And maybe someone that can help the clubhouse. But Fromber got into it with his catcher. Yeah, I kind of like that whole thing. You do?
Yeah. Little edge. But no, you got the top-of-the-line guy, Freddy Peralta. Did you see what was reported that the Tigers wanted from the Mets for Tarek Skrubel?
Skrubel? Skrubel. Everybody?
Skrubel, yes. They had like Nolan McClain on there, Brandon Sprote, like the other top three guys in the minor leagues, whoever the hell they are. Alex Cohen. They wanted everybody. They did not answer Alex Cohen. By the way, I got to check this, but did the Yankees sign a 13-year-old to one of these international contracts? They did.
He's playing in the Williamsport Little League World Series next year. They got a couple mil, I think. Damn. I don't know who I heard say that. I thought it was a joke, but I guess not. I'm thinking long-term. Knicks-Kings last night. This was a very close game into the fourth quarter when New York did finally pull away for the win.
Towns wants one, and he's got it. Carl Anthony Towns with his second three-pointer of the quarter versus a Sacramento timeout.

Chapter 5: How do the Giants and Jets compare in the upcoming season?
New Jersey treading Andre Palat to the Islanders. It's the Boomer and Geo podcast from WFAN. Hi, Boomer and Geo on the fan and CBS Sports Network. So when we started this morning, I got the Apple update reminder that it was going to automatically update to 26.2 iOS, 26.2 at night. So I said, let's do it right now. So I update it and, you know, comes back and I turn the phone on and what comes up?
April 20th, 2022. And what this is, you and I, you and me, I should say, are playing golf for the first time ever at West Saville Golf Course drinking our Day Chasers. Why did that come up? Just like as a random memory? As a random memory, which was amazing. So I was just thinking, so April 22, 2026 will be your fourth, like your fourth birthday of being a golfer. Fourth birthday. birthday.
I want a cake. Think about where you were four years ago and how far you have come. There it is. There's the photo. There's the picture right there. Very good. By Stephen Waldron and the CBS Sports Network guys. You were in pink pants that day. I was. I was given those golf pants by somebody. I was like, I don't play golf when they gave me the pants. Great. That was a tremendous day.
Can't wait for April. Let me tell you that much.
Come on.
We need April right about now. So that's funny that that popped up. Drinking the Day Chasers. Anyway, so yesterday I told you that I had that Rico Bosco situation that was going on from Barstool, and I told that story. So that story ended up getting reposted by Dave Portnoy himself and Big Cat from Barstool because they thought it was just such an on-brand, full Rico Bosco experience.
So I can't say what Dave Portnoy put out there, but he was making fun of Rico, saying that this is like the full thing. Here he is. He's, you know. What's the best way to put it? I guess glazing somebody in the DMs and then being a complete psychopath. But he used some choice language. So that was funny to see.
Thousands and thousands of views from the Barstool guys just because I got yelled at by Rico Bosco. But that's what they like to do. They like to poke fun at that guy. I've heard Al talk about... Like how it's a him problem when he's watching the NFL and there's commercials and he can't stand it. And it's like, I understand this is a me problem, he says. Everybody else seems to deal with it.
No one else seems to care. I've got a TV me problem now too that I've brought up occasionally, but it's reached its fever pitch. And that is I cannot watch shows with actors anymore. I can't do it. I've tried. It is impossible. With all the YouTube stuff, reality TV, things that I watch that have people who are really themselves.

Chapter 6: What does Joe Brady's promotion mean for the Bills?
I said, Dua Lipa's in a movie. I'm going to go check her out. She looks good in it. I wasn't, like, losing myself in whatever, you know. Okay, whatever story, yeah. The Barbie movie, too. She popped into that, too. But, you know, it's just, I don't know. It's a first-world problem, but it's annoying to me. I tried to sit down and watch a show. It was called...
Lost Girl or Girl Taken on Paramount Plus with Gina. Ten minutes. I'm like, I'm out. I can't do it. The acting's terrible. It's just, I can't. I'm going to bed. I'm going to either go watch YouTube. I'm going to go to sleep. I can't do it. You know? But, yeah, brutal.
