I don't have the dates, but they had a stretch where they lost one, two, three, four, five games in a row and six of seven within the conference.
So, yes, could a team like this get hot? Absolutely. Can a team like this hit a bunch of threes and beat them? For sure. Would I expect St. John's to bludgeon them? Yes, I do. So, good team. No doubt, good team, but not on St. John's level. Not when you finish sixth in the Missouri Valley Conference, despite what the conference tournament stuff happens. All right. But beyond that, Jalen Brunson does what he does, and they beat a bad Warriors team last night. So beat. So beat these next four bad teams as well.
I totally agree. And maybe, just maybe, you can catch Detroit. Who knows? I think their schedule is very favorable here, running down a stretch. Personally, we all think that the season's way too long. To me, most sports fans would love a truncated season in basketball and a smaller season sample in baseball. The other sports, they want to add an 18 game to football, and nobody seems to complain about how long the hockey season is. Well, I don't know about that. I love hockey, and I think hockey... They shouldn't be playing hockey in late... They shouldn't. Yeah, well, I'll tell you, you know, it's interesting. With my team out of it and in last place still, even though they're playing really well right now, it's kind of a weird feeling.
Like, you know... Now you're watching actually hockey you like to watch, and the players that are now being asked to play more on the ice are playing better and playing really well. I mean, you know, the Rangers beat Minnesota the other day, and it was basically a team that is one of the better teams in the Western Conference and is one of the odds-on favorite to win the Stanley Cup.
