Chapter 1: What did Mike McCarthy say about Aaron Rodgers during his introduction?
The Steelers introduced Mike McCarthy as their new head coach. Oh, how'd that go? I guess fine. I only saw a couple of clips.
He wants Aaron Rodgers back, it sounds like.
Right, so that's where we'll pick it up, where he was asked that very question.
I'm not asking this from any other perspective except your own personal preference. In your best-case scenario, do you want Aaron Rodgers back as your quarterback next year?
That's a nice way he asked that, right? That was slick. I mean, definitely. I mean, obviously, why you wouldn't? And then he did make it very clear Rodgers needs his time away. He's an old man at this point in football. The game is so emotional, you know, what these men commit to and what they put into it. I think that time away is important.

Chapter 2: What are McCarthy's personal preferences regarding Aaron Rodgers' return?
And, you know, and I have spoken to Aaron. And so that's really where, you know, that's really where we are there. That's good. They spoke to each other. That's great. You'd love to have him back. I saw some of the other stuff. It went exactly the way I thought it was going to be. Pittsburgh's my soul. Pittsburgh. Grew up in Crampton. My buddy, Archie, owns a bar on the south side.
Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh. I've been putting fries on my salad since 1978. Pittsburgh. That's a thing in Pittsburgh, Coach? Fries on salad, yeah. Really? Oh, yeah. That's the Pittsburgh way. I couldn't believe it. Is there a condiment or a salad dressing that you use with that or no? It depends. Personal preference. But, yeah.
When I first got there and I was trying to be healthier and ordered a salad, the waitress goes, would you like the fries on the top of the salad? I said, excuse me? She's like, what? Yeah, fries. Everybody gets it with fries. I'm like, well, because no. Well, thank you. Yeah, that's a new one. Never heard that one. What else? The Jets fired offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrom.
They didn't really fire him. They reassigned him. Some stories say they fired him. Yeah, I don't think he was fired. I think it was more of a mutual party in a way because Tanner Engstrom does have some pride. And I think Aaron wanted to, well, as I understand it, I think Aaron wanted to keep him, just reassign him. But if you're Tanner Engstrom, you can't do that. Oh, yeah, I bet.
I said that exact thing yesterday. The digital team posted, if I'm him, I go to another organization because you're demoting me after giving me total turd for the quarterback position. I mean, you were trying to lose games with Brady Cook, and now you're going to demote me? Like, go F yourself. That's what I would have said. Hopefully you did say it.
which I wanted to write back to Stephen Waldron last night because as the game fell apart late for Rutgers and not Indiana, Michigan State hits the game tying three. I got a text from Stephen Waldron. I hope you were close enough to Raph to hear him yell onions. I really wanted to say F off. I mean, I can't believe Stephen Waldron would do that to you. He did. What are we doing?
He must be supporting you. Yeah, I know. He's more of a hemorrhoid than anything these days, Steven. I like Steven. I didn't care for that text in that moment, though. He's been his hemorrhoid self. Hemorrhoid Steven, yes. The Bills promoted Joe Brady to head coach. The Mets introduced Freddie Peralta on a Zoom. Here is Peralta.
He is ready to be a Met. And being honest, I'm really happy about, you know, to be here in New York and represent the New York Mets organization.
He did say he didn't expect to be traded, which I thought was interesting because I feel like his name was rumored, you know, a lot of the winter. Especially with a contract year. You know what? I hope this Met locker room is like crazy. I want it to be happy. I want it to be like just like exuberant. Obviously, winning is going to be a big part of that, but personalities.

Chapter 3: What controversies surround the Jets' offensive coordinator situation?
Yeah. Little edge. But no, you got the top-of-the-line guy, Freddy Peralta. Did you see what was reported that the Tigers wanted from the Mets for Tarek Scruble? Scruble? Scruble. Everybody? Scruble, yes. They had like Nolan McClain on there, Brandon Sprote, like the other top three guys in the minor leagues, whoever the hell they are. Alex Cohen. They wanted everybody.
They did not ask for Alex Cohen. By the way, I got to check this, but did the Yankees sign a 13-year-old to one of these international contracts? They did. Mm-hmm. He's playing in the Williamsport Little League World Series next year. They got a couple mil, I think. Damn. I don't know who I heard say that. I thought that was a joke, but I guess not. I'm thinking long-term.
Knicks-Kings last night. This was a very close game into the fourth quarter when New York did finally pull away for the win.
towns wants one and he's got it carl anthony towns with his second three-pointer of the quarter versus a sacramento timeout and that put new york up by 680 to 74 they would run away with it from there 103 87 i played the towns clip though because that's kind of the theme here this was mike brown after the game asked why towns didn't come back in for the large stretch to finish out the game
Well, I know at the end of the game, we had a group out on the floor that was playing well, and it was a tight ball game, and so I just rode that group. Which makes sense, by the way.
Five of 30 for the Kings last night. Five of 30. And still hung in there because your guy, I think it was, I think Ananobi had seven turnovers, and the Knicks were giving the ball away at will and really helping them stay in that game. Here was Towns.
He heard Mike Brown was riding the hot hand, so a reporter goes to Towns, asks him about it, and repeats what Brown said, and I thought a very good answer from Towns.
He just felt like it was a tight game, and those guys were playing well together. From your perspective. You got to win.
That's the most important thing. You don't get a sad ticket. You got to win. That's the most important thing. That's all I care about in New York. I care about this team. I care about this team.

Chapter 4: How does Freddy Peralta feel about staying with the Mets?
It might be. I don't know. The Devils lost to the Jets 4-3. New Jersey treading Andre Palat to the Islanders.
