Chapter 1: How did the US Men's Hockey Team win gold in overtime?
We are going to hear from Kenny Albert every single hour, and rightly so, because you've got all over the Internet. It's like, hear Kenny's electric game-winning call, and it certainly was on NBC.
Watch up behind the net. And it's Wierenski. Now Jack Hughes puts it around the clock. United States with numbers.
Chapter 2: What was Kenny Albert's call during the game-winning moment?
Rock across it comes. Jack Hughes wins it! The golden goal for the United States! For the first time since the 1980 miracle, the United States takes the gold!
Yeah, and that was Kenny Albert on NBC.
Great call. Absolutely great call. He, Eddie, Olchek, Catherine Tappan, and, of course, Brian Boucher, who did say in the beginning of the game it was the fastest game he's ever seen, and it's a privilege to be able to broadcast the game.
Yeah, I mean, he said it was the quickest he's ever seen hockey at that level in his life, and that's a guy who's seen a lot of hockey. So it shows you what was going on inside both of these teams.
I mean, Kenny Albert, for my money, obviously had a great Olympics. Mike Tirico had a great Olympics.
Yeah, I was going to bring him up because you didn't mention him as part of the broadcast, but he's not known as a hockey guy. I mean, this guy was just right there. He was perfect for the situation. So, yeah, NBC did a really, really good job with this.
So here's some reaction after the overtime win, the gold medal and all that. Here's the head coach Mike Sullivan talking about his guy Jack Hughes.
So I think Jack had a terrific tournament from the first game on. The goals he scored were big-time goals. You know, it's an emotional roller coaster when you go through these experiences.
And he certainly cashed in, as we know, use himself. Jack, not Quinn, was on NBC afterwards, and he was asked what this means to him.

Chapter 3: What did Mike Sullivan say about Jack Hughes' performance?
FaceTime, whatever, in the locker room. So he just spoke to the group, you know, expressing his...
how proud he was of of the group and congratulating everybody on the win yeah so pretty cool there and then i went through the entire press conference with sullivan um jack and quinn hughes and also you had i think it was brady was it brady no it was connor hellebuck who was up there as well or is austin matthews so we'll have more audio from them coming up through the course of the morning a lot about america obviously and how proud they are
to have done this for the USA. So a pretty cool day as well. First U.S. gold medal for men's hockey since 1980. And Hellebuck, by the way, the secondary assist on that game-winning goal.
It's amazing he wasn't the MVP of the tournament. It was McKinnon, right? No, they gave it to Connor McDavid. I'm not saying he didn't have a great tournament. He did. But did you see Hellebuck's save percentage? Did you see how many saves he had? And he was undefeated. How does he not get the...
I mean, he was under a barrage yesterday. I mean, it was remarkable. So, I don't know. I mean, maybe they felt like they had to throw him a bone or something. I mean, I tell you, there is nothing, though, like watching that team have to stand out there and then take those silver medals that you know that they don't want. Oh, that is a rough spot. You'd almost rather win the bronze.
Yeah, you don't have to show up. It's like they're basically hanging a turd around their neck. The faces that they're making. Sidney Crosby, too, and he couldn't play in the game, obviously, and it's going to be his last one. Then he put that silver medal around his neck. He looked like he was going to puke. Take this.
Very funny.

Chapter 4: How did Jack Hughes express his pride in representing the USA?
All right, basketball-wise, the Knicks had that wild win over the Rockets on Saturday at the Garden. Then they were in Chicago last night. Carl Anthony Towns played great. And that was late in the game after Chicago had taken the lead back. Towns, 28 points, 11 rebounds, 105-99 the final. Mike Breen on MSG with the call there. Jalen Brunson, 19 points and 9 assists.
You know what I think about this team? I'm not... It's all about the playoffs with this team. I mean, Mikael Bridges showed up last year in the playoffs. OG showed up last year in the playoffs. I mean, that's what this team needs. It needs playoff basketball. It's like they're bored in the regular season. Yeah, I'm not going to sit here and just continue to rip on them.
I mean, they won two games back-to-back now after that Detroit meltdown. Now they've got Cleveland Tuesday night. So they lose to Cleveland. What are we going to do? Come in Wednesday morning and go, oh, the season's over?
No, I mean, none of us... Of course not. Well, we never did that. We never said the season was over. It's just that there are some concerning things about a team that you're going to run into into the playoffs. It looks tougher than you. But no, of course it's not over. And this is back-to-back really good games for Carl Anthony Towns.
I mean, when he's hitting the three, it changes everything for them offensively. It just doesn't happen a lot.

Chapter 5: What were Connor Hellebuyck's contributions to the gold medal win?
But yeah, I mean, there's still going to be issues. But... I mean, you still want to see them play great in a regular season as opposed to get their asses handed to them by the better teams.
Jose Alvarado's a dog on defense.
Yeah, he certainly is. He's the Grand Theft Alvarado, man. I'll give you one from Towns, and then we'll move on.
Grand Theft Alvarado. That's what they call him. Oh, that's what they call him? Okay.
He had the five steals in his first or second game with the Knicks. Yeah, because all he does is steal the basketball. So GTA Grand Theft Alvarado. I didn't see that. I'm sorry. Grand Theft Alvarado.
man okay great yeah here was one from town's back-to-back situation and they went out and they won the game there's no excuses you know we professionals we got to come out here and do our job our fans uh expect it the city depends on us to come out and bring that energy and that tenacity uh i thought we did a good job tonight of uh
Fighting through the fatigue. Fighting through the fatigue. That was on MSG. I'll have more with Towns in relation to Shaquille O'Neal and a conversation they had post-game Saturday. That'll be coming up next hour, but Towns certainly was fantastic last night in this win over the Bulls, who, by the way, have lost nine straight games. And you mentioned the Knicks in Cleveland.
That game will be tomorrow night against the Cavaliers on the road. The Nets did lose to the Hawks 115-104. Let me give you just... I know you're not going to want to hear this all morning, but to hell with it. We've got two feet of snow coming down. And down in Florida, you had the Mets play the Yankees.
How about that?
