When she recognised that there was a problem for the homeless being able to get medical help for their pets, she set out to find a solution. Teaming up with another vet who had a similar mission, they strapped on backpacks and joined forces with other homeless providers to supply care to the owners' dogs. And so Street Vet UK was born and since then it has spread across the country with many vets and nurses volunteering their time to give support and care where it is needed. Pets are therapy for their owners who often put their dogs' well-being above their own.
