Broadcast Media: The Inside Track
Being an independent producer and lecturing broadcast journalism with Michael Kosmides.
01 Mar 2021
This connection came from out of nowhere really, I was talking with a friend of a friend about a potential podcast show needing guests and coincidentally he was a graduate from a broadcast journalism course and he put me in contact with Michael. After some phone calls he agreed to record one and was enthusiastic about paying it forwards to help the new wave of new comers. It was my first time talking about journalism specifically and got a real sense of what it's like from Michael's work in the field, whilst all the time weaving advice in for new comers. Also a good talking point on social media where broadcast filters into these new platforms which become new new norm. You can find out more by going to kosmides.com Sneak preview Audiogram: https://share.descript.com/view/NafJObypore During the episode we go through some talking points: Where did you start off, what did you do to get in? - When did you realise you were destined for broadcast media? - Was there any flags or paths you followed that stand out - Who gave you your first break or role in the industry?
