Why are Brooke and Connor talking about Canadian tuxedos and Ugg season?

Connor Wood 0:07
Who's that vision in denim over there overseas?
Brooke Averick 0:10
I'm in a tux.
Connor Wood 0:13
Oh my gosh. Let's take this thing north of the border for a second. Do you mind?
Brooke Averick 0:17
Yeah, I'm doing Canadian tux. It's only going to be $79 today.
Connor Wood 0:21
Are you serious?
Brooke Averick 0:23
It was $85 yesterday.
Connor Wood 0:25
Beach weather.
Brooke Averick 0:26
Beach weather. Imagine me seeing like all the Snapchats of everybody cozied up in New York. It's raining. It's snowing in Chicago. We'll just do 85. And I'm not complaining because like I did sign up for this and I do love the climate. But just sometimes it's like a punch to the gut.
Connor Wood 0:43
No, I get it.
Brooke Averick 0:45
Yeah.
Connor Wood 1:02
I always thought that when I was there, I was like, I miss it. The way that the weather app is completely obsolete in LA is so, so crazy.
Brooke Averick 1:11
It is going to be in the 60s later this week, which will be amazing. And it's going to rain.
Connor Wood 1:17
It's going to be so amazing. And it's going to rain. I had to get out my puffer today. Yeah.
Brooke Averick 1:23
Talk dirty to me.
Connor Wood 1:25
Yeah. I slipped into something a wee bit more comfortable, my puffer. And then guess what?
Brooke Averick 1:30
Hmm.
Connor Wood 1:30
Do you like the person you are when you put on the Uggs?
Brooke Averick 1:33
Are you doing Uggs right now?
Connor Wood 1:35
I can't do Uggs right now because the thing about my apartment is that they turn on the heat and it's against my own will. And I don't know. And so now my AC and my heat, which my heat is like a mystery goblin that comes and goes as it wants. I never signed up for heat. I know heat is an amazing blessing to have in a home, but like shut the fuck up about it. It is the loudest, most chang, chang, chang. It turns on all night and it goes clank, clank, clank. I don't even know.
Brooke Averick 2:06
So you have a radiator.
Connor Wood 2:08
Yeah, I have like,
Brooke Averick 2:09
six radiators and then my hot pipes that are everywhere oh your hot pipes I used to put and like I'm sure this is a fire hazard like y'all don't even need to come for me but my towels on the hot pipes and the radiator and when I would come out of the shower the towel would be like spa hot
Connor Wood 2:29
So that's something to think about. I had not considered that as an option.
Brooke Averick 2:31
Yeah, it was amazing.
Connor Wood 2:33
The hot pipe in my bathroom is working overtime. The thing is, it's just a little bit too hot to the point where I'm getting a cold and I can feel myself getting a cold. I'm going to get a fever. No. Because I'm going to get sick because I'm going in and out of this.
Brooke Averick 2:46
I think that's a myth.
Connor Wood 2:49
I think so, too.
Brooke Averick 2:50
Yeah. Maybe extreme, extreme frostbite cold will make you sick, but like... When moms are like, don't go out in the rain, you'll catch a cold. Like, I don't think you will.
Connor Wood 3:01
Wow. That mom, whatever mom made up that wives tale and then whatever Drew Marymore was on, Molly probably when she was outside in that rainstorm, they should get into it together because they would have a heyday.
Brooke Averick 3:13
Yeah, it's just a wives tale.
Connor Wood 3:16
Moms against going out in the rain versus Drew Barrymore in a court case.
Brooke Averick 3:20
Cold weather can increase your chances of getting sick by weakening your immune system and making it easier for viruses to enter your body. You're fine.
Connor Wood 3:28
I don't think my immune system has ever been 100%, but I'm doing the best I can. And so is it. Do you think about your body and all of its parts? It's like their own little individual pieces.
Brooke Averick 3:40
When you start to think about your body in depth, it's a little bit too much.
Connor Wood 3:45
I think about my immune system as, like, a group of people that, like, are working on something. And, like, sometimes I make things harder for them. Factory? Yeah. Or, like, you know when I have Chipotle, and it's like, well, my stomach just better pick it up down there. Like, I'm already going to eat it. I already am on my way there, and I'm going to get it, and I'm going to get queso on it, and I'm going to get shredded cheese on top of the queso, which I can do that. That's my right. But it's something that my stomach's going to have to deal with, not me, you know? Do you know what I mean?
Brooke Averick 4:14
In a way, yeah.
Connor Wood 4:15
Like, do you think of, like, your organs as their own entities? Sometimes if I stub my toe, I'm like, that's annoying of my toe.
Brooke Averick 4:21
No, I think I kind of think of my body as a whole.
Connor Wood 4:25
Really? Mm-hmm. This has been fascinating because I... Who was I talking to recently?
