Chapter 1: What is the trivia game about generations?
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy? Not quite! On Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends, me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guests, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an acapella band with their between-songs banter.
Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter.

Chapter 2: How do the hosts introduce their guests?
I'm Sam J. And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild year. It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people.

A win is a win.
A win is a win. I don't care what y'all say.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor IV. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Chapter 3: What significant events shaped the years discussed?
You're listening to Learn the Hard Way with your favorite therapist and host, Kier Gaines. This space is about Black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing. How many men carry a suit of armor? It signals to the world that you not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability, that does not mean that you need to. Listen to Learn the Hard Way on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or Wherever you get your podcasts.
Today versus back in the day.
Oh man, we all just got over a good cry together. Outside the studio.
Really though, she's being serious.
I know, we have the sweetest listeners who sent us a bunch of art. So Jamie Glassman sent Jose this gorgeous birthday book where she sketched pictures of every food he's taken a review of.
Yeah, I cannot thank you enough. That's like the sweetest thing anyone's done for me.
Roger from Florida drew me, drew a portrait of me.
Yeah, fully naked. I don't know how. No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. It's a great picture.

Chapter 4: How do the hosts engage with their audience?
It was so sweet. That's what got all of us. But it was just, we thought it was a normal mail day. We were like, let's see if this is some candy.
You guys sent us.
I mean, thank you. Truly, thank you so much. If you want to see the video, I think Jake's putting it up on socials. It may be there right now. I'm not sure. I don't know. I don't know when. I guess I should have told you. Just stalk us on social media. I guess we just spoiled the video. Oops, sorry. I mean, there's a little more to it. African Jeffrey, but let's get to this game.
It's a game that pits the generations against each other. And this week, it's my turn to answer. Yes. Our Gen Z resident, Alexis, is going to be asking the questions. And I am going to get you out of crying because we are going to talk about Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter. Oh, yes. Yes. Because they, oh no, uh oh, uh oh. I love Madonna. Tough day. Yeah, tough day.
But they, as you saw, Sabrina Carpenter brought out Madonna at Coachella. Oh yeah. Because they had a new song come out together last week, Bring Your Love. Oh. I didn't know that's why. Is it just a remix of an old Madonna song?
I don't know. It sounds very Madonna, but I like it.
The beginning of it sounded like Vogue.
Yeah. Strike a pose.
Yeah. Maybe.

Chapter 5: What is the format of the game played in this episode?
All right, Ashton. All right. Oh, this is definitely like a prayer by Madonna. Oh, yeah.
I love you, Madonna.
Did I get every single one right? Yeah, you did. And I would like to thank Ashton for my victory.
Thank you.
For yelling at Ashton. I'm not going to thank her. And I'd like to thank Madonna's 20-year-old boyfriend for making me think I got a chance. That's right. Not even 21? Yeah.
Oh, interesting.
There you go, Ashton. All right. Well, thank you for that. That was fun. You're welcome. Yeah. You're going to move on. I don't know how to segue, so we're just going to quickly move on. Yeah, let's just move forward. I actually stole something from you, Brooke. Oh, you did?
Yeah, when you a few weeks ago had me guess celebrities in their first jobs, I stole that concept with different celebrities in new first jobs. I am so glad you didn't say my debit card.
No, no, I wouldn't tell you when I do that.

Chapter 6: How do the hosts differentiate between artists in the game?
I know right Sweetie Wow, I have an issue with her grandmother yeah Generational beef yeah Spokane Washington she left early and She was probably lying about her first job, honestly. Because I know that her grandma, shoot, a little sketchy with money, I'm going to tell you that. That's some hometown talk. Your mom and her do not get along. I'm going to go with Sydney. Yeah, she hates my mom.
Hates Sydney. Literally stormed out of a room that my mother was in. Not everyone can say that. I'm going to say Sydney Sweeney was a bill collector. Sorry, Brooke. Wrong, but try again. Next celebrity. Okay, Lil Nas X. My friend.
I know him.
He is just so likable. How could he not be a Universal Studios tour guide? Dang it. All right. Megan Fox. She's a hottie. She. Oh, I could totally see her passing out hors d'oeuvres at a wedding. Give me a vent caterer. Oh, dang it. We are 0 and 3.
Okay.
Jonathan Bailey. I don't know much about him, but I know he's hot.
Hot and sexy.
People's sexiest man. So no one would put him inside a banana mascot because they would want that face to shine. Yeah. So we're going to go back and we're going to say Six Flags Ride Attendant. Yikes. We are not going good here.
Do you want me to hum these for you, Brooke?

Chapter 7: What are the outcomes of the trivia game?
Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, it was an ordeal where I asked her to do this. And then an hour later, I was like, where is it? And she's like, I'm still trying to do it. It's like, stop overthinking it. It's okay. It's okay. Ashley had to edit her mom's call down. That was a shortened version. And I had to ask my mom to say more than happy Mother's Day.
So...
Yeah, this really started as one simple thing and we all had a lot of quality time with our moms last night trying to do this. This is so cute. I love that. You tell your moms thank you and happy Mother's Day.
They've been such good kids.
That was so great. That was awesome. What a way to end. Yay, what a fun game, Alexis. Good job. Thank you. And great job, Ashton, on the humming, no matter what Alexis says. That was today versus back in the day. We'll be back Monday with a brand new show, so please subscribe.
Oh, and hit up our YouTube, because we got new live videos every week of our second dates, and we got, I think, an awkward Tuesday video coming up this next week. So definitely subscribe there as well. It's Brick and Jeffrey in the morning.
