A critical step to business success is evaluated thinking. It is not enough just to think the thought and write it down. We also have to evaluate the ideas and sort them into three idea buckets: Great, Mediocre, and Bad. Then you will know where to focus your energy next. Let the bad ideas go. They are not yours to act on. Set the mediocre ideas aside. They are not ready to grow. Evaluate the great ideas and think of ways to make them better. Sleep on it! Then reread your ideas and ask yourself the following questions: Does the thought still speak to me? Will this thought speak to others? How, where and when can I use this thought? Who can I help by delivering or implementing the thought?
