I am the author of The Revolt of the Public and the Crisis of Authority in the New Millennium (2014). A new, updated edition of the book, including a foreword by Arnold Kling and analysis of Trump, Brexit, and our current political zaniness, was published in December 2018 by Stripe Press. I have 28 years of experience as Director of Research and senior analyst in the U.S. Government's Open Source Center. I have five years of experience in the private sector as Chief Analyst in Fifth Wave, working as a recognized expert in geopolitical analysis and the development of courses on analysis and open source exploitation, and serving as instructor. I led the development of new methodologies for analyzing new media, including video persuasion and audience resonance analysis.
