Three-year co-captain. Three-time AVCA All American (2012, 2014, 2015). Two-time winner of the Off The Block Lloy Ball Award (2014, 2015) presented to the nation's top men's collegiate setter Meet Micah Christenson, setter for the Men's National Team. Married former USC indoor and beach collegiate player Brooke Fournier... The couple has one son, Ezekiel Kūpaʻa Christenson, who was born in August of 2018. Parents Charlene (volleyball) and Robert (basketball) are former collegiate athletes at the University of Hawaii - Hilo. Played volleyball and basketball at Kamehameha High School. Led his teams to three state championship titles (basketball in 2009 and 2011, and volleyball in 2011) .Began playing volleyball at Asics Quicksilver in 2005. Full name is Micah Makanamaikalani Christenson. Makanamaikalani means "Gift from Heaven." Micah's parents gave him that name because his mother had to have surgery while pregnant with Micah and it was not known if he would survive
