Artificial Intelligence is a transformational innovation that has gained a lot of traction over the past year. With the confluence of other technological innovations such as Cloud Computing, IoT, increased computing power and AI chips as well as the availability of more and more data, AI is now poised to deliver incredible value. More value in terms of new and better products and services, economic growth or increased efficiency and effectiveness in performing tasks. AI also promises to deliver significant societal value for example in the fields of environmental protection, security or public health. At the same time, there are some elements of adopting AI that need to be heeded such as the potential for biases and discrimination, privacy and security as well as the impact on jobs and skills development.
