Chapter 1: What are Tommy Dreamer and Jonathan Hood discussing after WrestleMania 42?
welcome to the busted open after dark podcast i'm your host tommy dreamer joined by jonathan hood and the both of us will cover the post raw after wrestlemania this is the busted open podcast Roman Reigns has so many potential massive matchups with him being the champion. I love how they've handled it. And then even tonight, they took us on a much different swerve when Jacob Fatu showed up.
And a baby face, Jacob Fatu, getting in the face of Roman Reigns and basically expressing his needs, his wants, and desires to be that top guy.
I like that.
I was going to say, the people love Jacob as well. And they're chanting Jacob over Roman Reigns. And it's a different version of Roman from what we've seen before.
And also, a smoother edge on Jacob Batuu, as you've noticed, right? Comes in kind of like that with that MLW craziness, Samoan werewolf moving around. He looked dangerous. You didn't know exactly what angle he's coming from. If you're a fan, you're looking at the exits because here comes Jacob Batuu like, OK, this guy seems a little dangerous.
But you notice, Tommy, how the edges have been smoothed with Jacob Fatu. He turns it up when he needs to. But you notice even on the mic work, it's not as erratic.

Chapter 2: How does Roman Reigns' character evolve in the post-WrestleMania RAW?
It's not like I'm going to kill you. It's more cerebral. It's more just I'm talking directly to you. And when I need to turn it up, I'll turn it up. He's just not 120 miles an hour the entire time. He's more like he's more like 85. He's giving you like a little slider, little curveball. And then when he needs to give you the fastball, he gives it to you like we saw against Drew McIntyre.
And he's also acknowledging the people and bringing the people into his promos and the pausing and the waiting and waiting for his catchphrases to be hit. And they're recycle reciting them verbatim. Andre, I know we got a lot of work for you already, but you also have that audio.
I don't want that title. I need that title. And to be clear, I'm not out here to be tribal chief. But I need everything that the tribal chief has. I need the shoe deal. I need the private jets. I need that Rolex.
Chapter 3: What impact does Jacob Fatu's appearance have on Roman Reigns?
I need more vehicles. I need a bigger house. I need to put my children in better schools. And I'll do anything for my family, even if I got to go through you.
So I backlash. So at Backlash, I'm upgrading. At Backlash, I'm leveling up my asshole. And at Backlash, you're going to know Jacob Fatu is all gas. No brakes with it.
So I'm telling you that promo, Tommy, like I'm Jacob Fatu and you're on the other end. Aren't you asking, so why do you need these things? We're family. I could help you out. I got 50 bucks in my pocket. I mean, I could help you. So why do you need those things if we're family? Why do you need the Jets, Rolexes, the shoe deal, the house? Why do you need that?
I think this is also, I mean, you're the top dog. I could, I could really take this back behind the scenes with the Samoans and the Samoan dynasty. It all started really at this level with Yoko. And then once Yoko won that title, a lot of the family leaned on Yoko where they kept saying, you know, he would lean, lend money to everybody, buy houses, all that stuff. Um,
And now it's going to, like, because before then, like, you know, I mean, even The Rock said, hey, they put a, you know, foreclosed on my mom and dad's house because, and this is, you know, my grandfather lost his wrestling company and my grandmother. And, like, they went through their own hard times.
And then Yoko picked it up and, like, there was a generation of Samoans that were always great but weren't getting that financial stability and that... uh, F you money if, uh, very easy to say. And so, you know, you have, they also listen, they all have a lot of children. Um, Jacob alone has a lot of children.
And I love like when he started like talking about that because like the people are like cheering for him. It's also like, if I go another part of Jacob's life prison, uh, I have to step up to the biggest dog in the yard because I want what he has so I can run the world. And it was so legit.
And when you say why, listen, you can help out your family members all the time, but you can't be like, well, I have to keep supporting this person. It's different, you know, as opposed to... How I guess it used to be because that family also understands for a long time the financial struggles that they have all gone to. I mean, Rikishi was a part of that.
I'm sure the twins because dad got fired and dad had to go out and make more money or stuff like that. So I also know like, you know, Jacob, his father.

Chapter 4: What are the implications of Jacob Fatu's promo for his future in WWE?
And no charges were pressed at the time.
Well, he had a busy WrestleMania week. I don't know what day that was. Was that before his match or after?
It was the Thursday before Mania, or Thursday or Friday.
Nice little don't get arrested WrestleMania weekend or don't get in trouble. WrestleMania weekend used to also be the weekend for if you mess up, you are fired. Coming up next, Jonathan Hood and myself continue the conversation of the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania. Your one stop shop for R-A-S-S-L-I and that's wrestling.

Let's take a look at Raw, and it really delivered tonight, Tommy, including what happened with CM Punk. CM Punk comes out to darkness. To darkness, if you notice. He just comes from the back, comes through Gorilla, and there's darkness. And then after he gets in kneels, then the music starts. And then it's kind of a different interest than we're used to.
And I just like Punk's demeanor talking about all of his losses in his life. A really personal feeling of what's been going on that's real. WWE behind the scenes, people who passed away, his dog. He talked about all that and kind of wrapped it into his loss of the world championship against Roman Reigns.
I loved it. It was one of the best moments. losing promos I've ever heard of, hey, I've lost all this, but I'm also grateful. And all of the crap talk and he did before that, it's kind of all past us, which again, a real man can admit defeat and where you go from there. And then like how Punk always does it, he drops this hook and
That you think something's going to, like, what's he talking about? And then it gets interrupted because he says, like, you never know when an opportunity for the championship is just going to drop from the sky. And because that's kind of what happened to him. He's being very real about, you know, hey, he wins this and then figured it's over. And now here comes the second part.
