Guys, I gotta tell you right off the bat, that main event. Got me amped up and excited. It was exactly what the fans chanted from the beginning. Awesome. And the This Is Awesome chant right off the bat sets the tone of what you feel you're going to see when you experience it live. It's nothing like it. And man, oh man, did both performers. Deliver. Um This it's nothing new for Swerve to be aggressive, but he's been so beloved and This match uh I just gotta say the best way to put it over is to watch it. It was a great wrestling match. They told a great story. It was two top guys. Um I love the whole, you know, build the first time ever on TV. Stuff like that meant a lot to all of this type of build. And then at the end of the day, what I always say
no matter how much hype, story, the two men have to deliver, and they did. They brought a next level element of the will to win, the will to be uh world champion, and what they would do to sacrifice Their bodies to get to the next level. Both guys have held the AEW world title. Both guys know what it's like to be on top. love the overlooking uh MJ F as champion and you know, this match was a special match. Um Again, I don't want to give uh away too too much for the actual match because it was just great.

And then there was a few things that hooked me even more. Um Guys killing it, killing each other, doing high risk maneuvers, selling them. Um, even there there was a few mistakes, a few hiccups, but it played into the story even better because it does show how hard it is to do these things. Kenny Omega slipping on um the the barricade to try to hit his moons off off the barricade and like even his face show like 'cause guys, this shit is hard. And especially when you're at that level and you're you're going at it for as much as they did. Um and I do, I love and the respect that Sacramento paid for them off the charts. So it looks like There was a lot of great psychology too where both men were just being aggressive and they're being, you know, two of the best to do it in AEW.
Um, some like really, really good things where, you know, great camera work where at one point Kenny hits a knee, Kenny hits another knee, and then it gets countered. Um, both guys going for their finish, guys, you know, swerve hitting his kick many times. Uh but the the meat of the match where it just took it to a n next level. Yeah. Swerve uh is telling ref Aubrey uh that his shoulders hurt, his shoulders hurt. Kenny goes for like the running V trigger knee And Swerve pulls Aubrey in front of the ref. I mean yeah, yeah, pulls Aubrey in front of Kenny Omega and Kenny blasts her with a knee and it didn't get a pop, it got a gasp. And at that moment I was like, oh, this went somewhere. With that the commentators but that wasn't
Like Meant to be, he was saying, check in on the shoulder, check my shoulder, and it was inadvertent. And then they showed the replay and I'm like, No, it wasn't. He did that for real. Then we go and he hits a bunch of finishes. There's no referee. Eventually, here comes the referee and Kenny Omega. kicks out miraculously. And what a great kick out.

And I always tell you people, if you could time a kick out perfect, with your entire body, it's your last gasp of air to survive. And he does it. And it's not just lifting your shoulder. It's a kick out. Then More drama ensues, and I love their finishing sequence. And anybody at any time could get knocked out. And Kenny Omega got knocked out. Loved him trying to go for his finish, and he it's that simple. He can't do it after this long battle, and then gets dropped with the kick, eats the finish, and uh Swerve beats Kenny, and the people were shocked. And now here comes the bigger shocker because he wins and I'm looking for the good old handshake and without even a hiccup. swerve blasts. Kenny Omega and the people are like, What?
