Last night's show was on another level, and I think that crowd last night should stand up and give themselves a round of applause because they were as important as anything else on that show last night.

And I finished it up with a very honest statement where not every Monday Night Raw is going to be like last night's Monday Night Raw. We know that. Because most Monday Night Raws are not like last night's Monday Night Raw. But if I'm... Anybody and everybody in that company, from the very, very top to the guy that sweeps up for the company once the ring is torn down, I am saying to myself, this is what we need to aspire to be every week. This is what we do when we swing for the fences.
Last night was an Attitude Era-esque Monday Night Raw Austin Rock night. Foley, Hunter, Taker, Hardys, Dudleys. That's what I felt like last night, where everything meant something. Every segment hit on all cylinders. That was two and a half hours of balls to the wall, all killer, no filler, pro
wrestling. And that would be last night's show would be a show that I would show a non-wrestling fan. If a non-wrestling fan said, Dave, explain to me why you love pro wrestling as much as you do and why you're so passionate about it. I don't get it. I would sit them down and play last night's show. And it's about what we saw in the ring. It's what we heard on the microphone and what we heard and saw from that crowd last night. Every match kind of had that big match feel that built to the main event. Like that main event could have easily been a main event at WrestleMania in front of 75,000 fans. The way they presented that match last night.
Speaking of that main event and speaking of WrestleMania... Here's my hot take for today. Hold on to your butts. Roman Reigns versus Penta last night was a better main event and a better match than Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania.
That's saying something because Roman Reigns versus CM Punk, a lot of people call a modern day classic. Last
night was better.
Wow. Wow. Now, that's pretty incredible. But I don't know if I 100% agree with it. But I got to tell you, Bully, I'm not going to argue with you about it. I understand why you feel the way that you do. When you factor in everything that we saw, it's hard for me to argue that you're wrong because you're not. It's your feeling. It's your opinion. But wow. And I will say this when I say wow. You watch that crowd when that match was over and how heartbroken they were. Bully, I got to tell you, I was as heartbroken sitting on my sofa in my living room last night. They got me where I thought for sure Penta was going to win the title last night. I can almost guarantee when... Roman went for that spear. I really thought that he was going to do like what he did a little bit earlier in the match.
Leapfrog over, hit a Canadian Destroyer on Roman Reigns and get the 1-2-3. That was ballsy by the WWE to go the route that they did last night. You know, what's the mantra of the WWE? Leave smiles on people's faces. There were not a lot of smiles on people's faces at the end of that
match
last night.
Initially, no, but as those people were walking out of the arena, I think the fans in Mexico City knew that they saw a great Monday Night Raw. And talking about the body of the match, Dave, remember back in the day, I think it was a monster truck slogan or something like that, where they said, we'll sell you the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge. Yes. And I always remembered that slogan because I thought it was so good.
