You know, you're talking about the bellies and everything. You know, I always talk about how, you know, the business and what guys looked like back in the day. We had all, and girls, all shapes and sizes. And I always said, you know, Dusty didn't need abs. It just depends on how over, you guys are not like body guys and you have fun with the way you go.
But the one thing. I don't think, I don't think we might be a little bit of body guys. Don't be worried about that. Is that coming through the mic? Give the acoustic check. Check, check, mic two. That's the belly slapping if you're listening on XM Radio, ladies and gentlemen. What are you doing? You're in the room with a couple of bodyguards as far as I'm concerned, Bully.
Wow. Justified that was awesome chance from Uncle Bully right there. You're not bodyguards. None of us are, but, man, you guys got gas in the tank. One of the things that caught my eye. about the both of you was one night there was a match going on you guys about 15 minutes deep into the match and you two were moving moving moving there's really no question out there i wanted to put you over but how long have you guys been together right now in nxt
First of all, appreciate you saying that, Bully. Seriously, that means a ton coming from anybody, especially a legend of the business like you. But Hank and I have both been down here for about four years, and I think, what were we together? Maybe three years and 11 months of that? Pretty much the entire time at NXT, Hank and Tank have been Hank and Tank. Yeah. Yes, sir.
One of the things that I was talking about before you guys jumped on, I'm not trying to jump the gun on you guys at all. But earlier on Busted Open, we were talking about the tag division on Raw and SmackDown and, you know, how it can be strengthened a little bit. I look at your act and you guys not only can go. But you're so much fun, you're fan friendly, people get into your matches. I could see you being plugged in to the main event picture right now. Do you guys feel that? I'm sorry, the main event tag scene right now. Do you guys feel that or do you still wanna try to hone your craft in NXT?
Honestly, I think it's a little bit of both. I'm speaking for Tank, too. You're spot on, Hank. We're ready. We feel as ready as we've ever been. We also know NXT is a great opportunity to learn and grow and really sharpen your teeth and really figure out who you are in that ring. I think the more and more matches, the more and more time we get in the ring, in front of the camera, we're just getting better. We're just getting better and better and better until we're at our best, and that's when we're going to be called up to the main roster, I think, is when they think we're at our best. On that same note, we had a fantastic conversation with the GOAT, HBK, the other day. And the three of us left saying the same thing.
I've never heard of a team too ready to go to the main roster. Too ready is not a phrase that will ever be uttered. You can only get better. And I think that is the greatest thing. And I think you would agree with this. Being in a tag team, competing with your brother, is we're constantly pushing each other. And that's a really special thing and a leg up on our competition that we have.
Do you feel the chemistry with the audience that I see on TV, that I hear on TV, that NXT fans hear and see? Can you feel that? Can you feel that connection in the ring?
We definitely, if I may, Hank, we definitely feel something. We feel something anytime we get to go out there, and I think it stems from us just truly, truly loving this, truly loving the fact that we get to go out there, whether it's in the NXT arena with 600 people, whether it's in a giant PLE with 15,000 people, or if it's at Dade City on a slower night with 85 people, we truly always remind ourselves, hey, we always say...
