All that and more right here on the Busted Open Podcast. this is the busted open podcast kaylee ray joins us here kaylee how are you and thank you so much for the time thank you so much for having me guys now we appreciate it we're excited to have you on and um first and foremost how does it feel diving back in uh being a part of eve getting back in the ring like how are you feeling
Do you know, it was such a buzz, like, in getting to work for Eve, one of the companies that, in my heart, I still love. Yeah, I don't think it could have went better in my eyes. Like, it was so much fun getting to see the girls working Molly, who, weirdly enough, I never got to work before I joined WWE. So, yeah, like, really buzzing about it all.
Okay. All right. So what you're saying is that excitement and that passion obviously has not left at all.

Bully, yeah, unmute yourself, Bully. Kaylee, if you don't mind us asking, what did happen? Do you have any, you know, do you have any answers? You know, obviously things didn't work out. Is there anything you wish you could have done better? Or, you know, bring us up to speed on your relationship with WWE.
How does Kay Lee Ray feel about returning to the ring after her WWE departure?
You know, the way it went at the end was, obviously wasn't great. But in the past few years, I got to have fun with my friends and I got paid well for it. So I even try to look on the bright side of that, that I can't really be disappointed with that. I wish I was given a chance to really show what I could have done on main roster. But I was with WWE for seven years, almost eight. So if I got a chance to do it again, I know there would definitely be more relationships I would make. I would Maybe do things differently, but looking back now, I had fun and I think now's the time to go kind of reinvent myself and show them what we could have done on main roster.
When you say that there are more relationships that you could have made, do you mean with the creative team or with management?
Maybe all, all around. Like I think I was just in a kind of like, I'm happy to be here. Whatever you need me to do. I'll jump in. Whatever character you want me to play, I'll jump in and play that character. So if I'm saying that I wish I had more of a run, I wish it had been on my ideas. If you give everything that you've got and don't make it, then it is... I don't want to say it's on you, but I just wish I could have brought a bit more of that killer instinct that I know I can portray to the main roster, but I'm in place for it. They're going to pick what they need at the time. And I was happy to fill the role that they gave me. So, like I said before, I can't complain about that because I had fun.
So I'm really not looking at it as a downside. I got to work with Piper on main roster. I got to work with Chelsea. I got to work with Isla. So, yeah, like, in a way, happy with what I've done. But I always feel like you're going to look back and wish you'd done more.
And Kaylee, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is kind of really your decision. You've kind of wanted to move on, correct?
So, yeah, I think in the last one I did, maybe the words were a little bit misconstrued. I had been thinking for a while if I wanted to re-sign or not. But as I said before, I've been with WWE for a long time, so I at least wanted to give them the courtesy of having that conversation. And I knew my contract was up in like, I think it was like three weeks by the time I spoke to them, maybe four. And it was at Mania. So I was like, look, I know we're really, really busy right now. I'm not asking to have that conversation now. But can we have that possibly soon?
