Welcome to the Busted Open Podcast. This is Dave LaGreca. On today's episode, myself and Bully Ray talk about the big main event match on TNA Impact between Casey Navarro and our very own TNA World Champion, Nick Nemeth. Also, we give our SummerSlam preview right here on the Busted Open Podcast.

Did you see the main event last night between Casey Navarro and Nick Nemeth? I sure did, yes. Wow.
Wow. You know what really impressed me about that match last night? And we know how great Nick is. Casey Navarro, man. I mean, he really... And listen, I've always been a Casey Navarro fan, but he really grabbed my attention in that match last night, Bully.
Casey Navarro really stepped up to the plate. He really... I mean, he hung with Nick. And listen... It ain't easy keeping up with Nick Nemeth when Nick Nemeth is in that sixth gear. Well, the fifth and a half gear, as he refers to, because only Kurt has the sixth gear. Great false finishes. My God, Nick was kicking out at like two and nine tenths. To the point I was like, holy shit.
There was a legit moment in that match last night where I thought Casey Navarro won.
They had me so well that I said to myself, I think it might have been the same false finisher referred to. I said, wow, they're going to put Casey over. Great job by both guys. Great story. Great match. A nice mixture of everything. Strong, strong main event for TNA last night. TNA is also coming off their strongest week to date ratings wise. Last week was the best viewership TNA has ever done on AMC. So, yeah. Great job by those guys. I really wanted to put... I put them over on social media last night. I wanted to put them over this morning also.
And next Thursday, you have Nick going up against Jeff Hardy on Impact. Like, that's a huge, huge match. You know, and... Again, like you just said, there was a second in that match I thought Casey Navarro pulled off a victory. And I was like, holy shit. And he just got his shoulder up. Boy, Nick is so good, man. Nick Nemeth.

And I know we praise him all the time. And I think most fans that are listening know how good Nick Nemeth is. Bully. But my God, when you see a match like the one that we saw last night. Dude. He hasn't missed a step. It's unbelievable how damn good he is in that ring.
The one person that I worked with in my career that I knew I wanted to work with because they could make me look better than I ever have been was AJ Styles. I knew... That the opportunity to work with AJ in TNA would have real, like I get you over, you get me over. But when I looked at AJ, I was like, wow, AJ can do something for me. I'm going to make him fight and I'm going to make him a credible fighter and badass to stand up to bully. But AJ is going to be able to do a lot for me because in order to hang with AJ is a big deal. So when I looked at AJ, I was like, I have to work with this guy because he is going to make me look like a million dollars. I would want to work with Nick Nemeth. If I walked back into TNA's doors tomorrow and they said, who do you want?
I'd say Nick. I say, because Nick could lead me to a great match at this stage of the game. That's how much confidence I would have in Nick. And I would have no problem leaving it up to Nick. I saw it left up to Nick last night and what he did for Casey. I wish, I hope as many people as possible saw that match last night. If you didn't see the main event from Impact last night, I suggest you find a way to go watch it. It was a great television main event. Exciting match.
And Bully, we had the discussion, right? When all the change was happening in the turnover in TNA, what did they have to do moving forward? And one of the main keys was put that championship title on Nick Nemeth. Last night was the reason why. That's why you need Nick Nemeth as your champion. Because now Casey Navarro is more over than Casey Navarro has ever been or ever could be after that match with Nick Nemeth last night on Impact.
A couple of years ago, I threw out the term workhorse. As in, I wanted to see the WWE invent a television championship and make it the workhorse championship.
