Uh, I think time, time does that, right? Like, I don't want to say a bad taste. There's, there's hurt, right? Like, like, like Bully, you summed it up. I mean, maybe I wasn't the capi di tutti capo, right? Like that's Len Asper. But I mean, I was the street boss for all those years.
How did Scott D'Amore describe his reaction after leaving TNA and moving on to Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling?
I was the guy out there making those calls, doing those things. But, you know, like business is business, you know, uh, Talked about this for years, and I would always drive this home to other people. This is our baby. But we've got to keep in our mind, we're the nannies. Like, this isn't our child. It's Len Asperger's. It's Anthem's sports child. It's not our child. So I loved that baby. I nurtured that baby, along with everybody else that contributed. The thing I loved or was so touched by when everything went down with TNA was the outshowing of support for me, which was so touching. I joked... It's like I got to see what people would say at my funeral and still be here, which was, I mean, I was so touched.
The one thing that I, and I know it wasn't the intent, but that did kind of sit wrong with me. It was made a lot about me and not about the thing I'm proudest about our time at TNA is how everybody came together and Bully, you were part of that and coming in. And I was talking about this backstage at Dynamite and we were talking about how you make the business better. You sat me down at Ric Flair's last match. I know we were sitting, I was sitting and you walked by, said, we can do some business. You've got a champion that you're building.

And we came in and you came in and pulled things out of Josh Alexander by being real, by getting in his face, by making him think, by putting him in fight or flight that have made him better to this day. And I think it's you, it's Gail Kim, it's Bravo and Ingrid, it's Eric Tompkins, it's everybody and i i can't list them all and i just i just want there's there's literally dozens and dozens of people that came to get to ed nordholm who worked 60 70 hours every week to to know a claim um that's what i'm proud of the time like yeah it hurt it hurt it hurt a lot you know but then at the end of the day you wake up and you go what we do is is is is stage you know simulated grappling in fancy underwear.
And we love doing it and we take it passionately and we take it seriously, but it can't be our whole life. So I had to look up and go, look, I've got all these other amazing things in my life. And then now as the hurt and the craziness subsided, I went, now I've got an opportunity to do something I've wanted to do since I was young. I get a chance to kind of spearhead a project that is something that I watch one of the greatest leaders in our country and in our sport, sit there and talk about the importance of when Bret Hart would talk about it. And I get to be the person to put together a team again. It's like one of those movies, right, where you think you're done and then you get that call and you start assembling all these people that you've had over your career.
And it's like, hey, we need somebody who can pull this TV together and run that truck. I know he's out fishing, gets the call. Yeah, I'll do it for you. sully kevin sullivan's working on a ton of things but he's back in you know mobile command and he starts editing videos within two days i reach out i reach out to you you're like yep i'll come in i'm gonna i'm gonna instill some toughness in your guy and just that whole thing is the process has went to you know the guys that new japan sent over to get to do maple leaf garden like even maple leaf garden saying yeah you know what we're gonna rearrange our schedule and to have you there last year so we could return home, to TSN.
