Chapter 1: What is the main topic of today's episode?
Welcome to the Busted Open Podcast. This is Dave LaGreca. On today's episode, myself and Tommy Dreamer talk to Mackenzie Mitchell, Robert Stone, your NXT general manager, and Sam Roberts about what? Well, I'm hosting the tailgate party and watch along with Kevin Owens for NXT Great American Bash. What should I wear? We discuss right now on the Busted Open Podcast.
This is the Busted Open Podcast. Mackenzie Mitchell joins us right here on Busted Open. Mackenzie, thank you so much for the time. Hi, Dave. How are you? I got to tell you, I'm not great. He's freaking out.
Chapter 2: What outfit should Dave wear to the Great American Bash?
I'm freaking out here.
No reason to freak out. All problems can be solved. We can figure this out.
All right. Now, a couple of different things. Mackenzie, I have the book in my possession. I got to tell you. It's on my table in my living room. It's the coffee table book that starts all discussions when I have people on. Okay? Threads of Triumph, your book.
Absolutely, as it should be. It should be on your coffee table. That's where it's meant to go. And I've still been getting so many pictures and videos from people. It's exactly where it needs to be, in their space. displayed on a coffee table or a shelf if you're Natalia. I know Natty has it on her shelf in her living room as well.
And so it still continues to get love and appreciation and admiration because exactly what you said, it's a conversation starter. It's a different perspective on the industry. It's a different way and a different lens to look at your favorite moments in professional wrestling. So I'm glad it's serving its purpose in the way that I wrote it and designed it to be.
Well, it's still available on Amazon.com. If no one's picked it up, it's awesome. I mean, the stories, the pictures are fantastic.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, wherever you get your books.
Hey, go to Bookstore. Go to Bookends in Ridgewood. Go to B. Dalton. Go to Amazon.com. Wherever you get your books, you can pick it up.
That's right. That's right.

Chapter 3: How does the weather impact Dave's outfit choice?
Okay. You got a big moment, Dave. I will be hosting a tailgate watch-along party with Kevin Owens at the Performance Center outside in the parking lot on Sunday. So... I need to know what is the dress code. Now, usually, and I've done it with you, usually I'll wear a suit. I'll wear a suit or a blazer. But now, this is outside, 95 degree weather. Like, what do I wear?
How do I be professional but know what I'm doing at the same time?
For the love of God, please do not wear a suit to Florida in 95 degree heat. I was outside yesterday. Obviously I live in Orlando right down the road from the PC. Um, and it is steaming hot in here and if it rains, it would cool it off for just a second, but it's going to be humid and even nastier and you're just going to be sweating. So first and foremost, I should say, do not wear a suit.
Number two, you need to bring your sunscreen because that's the last thing you want to do is show up looking like a cherry red tomato on camera.
makeup's gonna sweat right off you if you're trying to do like a powder or a foundation or just something to make yourself look good my my best advice would be accessorize and why i say that is get a great pair of sunglasses they can be fashionable um you know feel very like you could go like a skinny sunglasses sunglasses i should say That feels very 60s or 70s.
You could do like a big pair of sunglasses to make a statement. I think wear a pair of sunglasses. And if not the sunglasses, maybe like a vintage hat. I know they're saying now what's old is new again. So maybe you have like a vintage hat that you could find somewhere. wrestling related or not. But again, you're going to be celebrating America.
You're going to be, you know, it's great American bash. So you have to wear something red, blue. You could always go denim. You could do the John Cena denim shorts. That could be kind of cool. I think Dave, you could pull off the vintage look for this and feel fresh, modern, and young for great American bash.
Okay. I don't know about the young part, but I'll try to achieve everything else. All right. So, so Mackenzie, what you're saying, sunglasses, Mm hmm. Vintage glasses. Yeah. Skinny sunglasses, right?
Skinny sunglasses. I mean, they can be colored or you could just go like just a really skinny pair of sunglasses. I know you wear glasses, but not anymore.

Chapter 4: What accessories should Dave consider for his outfit?
So if I can bring this knowledge into the industry, I'm very happy to be there. It's something different. It's kind of my own little unique spin on professional wrestling. So Dave, I'm happy to help out in any way.
Mackenzie, I think you've done a lot for the business. Ten years, that's something to be very, very proud of. So congratulations. Slammiversary is a big show coming up for TNA this weekend. But if you have a chance on Sunday, if you could just tune in, and if you see something you like or you don't like, shoot me a text and tell me, Dave, change or take this off or add something.
Any kind of input would be greatly appreciated.
Hey, you know what? I'll do you one better. If you'd like to send me the look prior, because that does happen. I just talked to Elena Black. I've talked to M by Elegance. They've sent me their looks for Slammiversary. Feel free. Just send me a text. Shoot me over a picture quick and show me, hey, this is what I think I'm going to wear before you get on air. So we'll start this.
We can start this earlier. We can get everything settled out and look completed before you get to air.
Mackenzie, I appreciate that. I will do that. Thank you so much.
You're a friend, Dave. You're welcome.
And we have the great, the legendary, your host with the most, Sam Roberts, who joins us right now on Busted Open. What's going on, Sam? Thank you for the introduction. There's very high expectations. I hope I can meet some of them. I will try. Well, we got a lot to talk about, Sam, but more importantly, me. Yeah. I have this. Now, you do this all the time.
Like, you're going to do the pre-show for Great American Bash with Megan Moran, correct? Oh, yes, yes. We will be on. Yes, we'll be on. It's not the pre-show, though. It's the countdown to Great American Bash. I'm sorry, countdown. I apologize. You fool. The countdown. The countdown to Great American Bash. Yes. So I am, and I found this out breaking news while I was watching NXT last night.

Chapter 5: Should Dave avoid wearing anything related to Cody Rhodes?
Dude, I got to tell you, I'm a little nervous about Sunday.
I think you're a lot nervous, Sam, because he's not a professional. Where does this air?
It airs on The CW.
Okay, because I checked my DVR, and it has just the Great American Bash. It does not have any pre-show.
Oh, the pre-show, I believe. So the pre-show will be on WWE's YouTube, across social platforms. Yeah, so it'll be on YouTube, Facebook, all that. And then the show show will be on The CW. And Tommy, it's not the pre-show. It's the countdown to Great America.
I'm sorry. That's right. I got to remember my company vernacular.
Got to get the verbiage down.
I'm used to TNA's pre-show, but okay, now I got to switch that.
We don't talk about that anymore because you guys, the TNA cut me out. So I don't talk about the TNA pre-shows anymore. I thought you used to know a guy there. Shit changes. The landscape always changing, Sam. It's always changing in professional wrestling. Sam, I'm looking forward to listening at the top of the hour. You know how much I love it. I appreciate it, man. I appreciate it.
