Chapter 2: How did AI influence Zarya's farewell package in NXT?

26.255 - 65.39 Tommy Dreamer

is it going lately all of that and more when the fat and the furious take over the busted open podcast this is the busted open podcast one of the things that seems to have everybody in an uproar from this week was the soul ruka Zarya package that they did in NXT. By any chance, did you see it? Yes. Okay, they used AI to do the package as far as Zarya's final farewell to Seoul.

0

66.892 - 76.683 Tommy Dreamer

What did you think about it? Zarya's entrance is part of that AI, and it gave her a futuristic look.

0

Chapter 3: What are the negative perceptions of AI in the wrestling industry?

76.743 - 98.25 Tommy Dreamer

She looks like a futuristic warrior, like a Mad Max type of vibe. AI has a very negative effect right now, especially online. AI is taking away thought AI is taking away artists, music, all that stuff.

0

Chapter 4: How does AI compare to traditional writing in wrestling?

98.27 - 108.926 Tommy Dreamer

So that's why it has such a negative connotation. And then even like AI, I mean, I've had wrestlers come up to me and be like, here's a promo.

0

Chapter 5: What are the implications of AI on job security in wrestling?

109.547 - 124.719 Tommy Dreamer

And I'd be like, wow, that's pretty good. Did you write it? And they're like, well, I used AI. And I'm like, ugh. So AI is talking the people in. I like it, but you have to make this your own. So I think that's why it has a negative connotation.

0

124.839 - 141.945 Tommy Dreamer

Visually, cool-wise, I mean, if you remember the, what was it, the 300 series, the fighting movie, when that first came out and, like, you know, their slow motion, blood, that was a different view of the world for pitchers.

0

Chapter 6: How has AI been used in other wrestling promotions?

142.727 - 163.481 Tommy Dreamer

And, I mean, also, like, AI would take away a lot of jobs, right? from, I mean, millions of people in an industry, of all industries. So I guess that's why it has a negative connotation. And it's also considered lazy because you could literally render or ask something for AI and then you get something. I mean, people hand us AI stuff all the time.

0

163.522 - 173.356 Tommy Dreamer

It's funny, but then, but I also think there's a narrative too of, well, WWE did this, so I hate it. AEW did this, so I hate it.

0

Chapter 7: What is the current relationship between NXT and TNA?

173.376 - 197.342 Tommy Dreamer

TNA did this, so I hate it. That's it. With, you talked about, oh, you ask a talent, hey, did you write this promo? It's really good. And they're like, no, I used AI. And you're like, is AI going to start writing things for us? Is AI writing verbiage for you any different than some 25-year-old kid that's a member of a creative team writing something for you? For me?

0

Chapter 8: How do injuries impact talent retention in wrestling?

197.382 - 219.465 Tommy Dreamer

For anybody, for any talent. No, not for you specifically, for talent. Like we have, there are people in the industry across the industry who have never been a part of pro wrestling before, but because they are creative minds, now they are involved in the wrestling industry and they're writing lines for pro wrestlers. And a lot of times the pro wrestler will be like, I would never say this.

0

219.505 - 257.96 Tommy Dreamer

So having a writer write for a wrestler as a as opposed to a wrestler leaning on AI for help with a promo, is that horrible? I feel if your writer knows your character or you need creative input with that said writer, it's different than a movie. It's different than a comic book. Because they're extensions of yourselves. I have also people be like, well, my character would never do that.

0

257.98 - 288.694 Tommy Dreamer

And I'd be like, okay, well, what's your character? And then when they tell me it, I'm like, they have no clue who their character is. A lot of talent out there. have no clue who they are. One of my favorite questions to ask up-and-coming wrestlers are, who are you? And then I just start counting in my head. One, two, three, four. If I can get to three and you haven't answered yet, you lose.

0

289.235 - 313.348 Tommy Dreamer

No parting gifts, no nothing. Brush your hair. Because you don't know who you are. And I think that's a big, I think that's a major problem within the industry at the entry level. Absolutely. And then, I mean, we talked about, again, Sergeant Slaughter. Sgt. Slaughter knew who his character was. I want this job at G.I. Joe.

0

314.048 - 340.21 Tommy Dreamer

I have literally Don Kernoodle drive me in a camouflage limo with flags and I drive around so people, I get attention. That's social media before social media. The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes knew who he was. Hulk Hogan knew who he was. Andre the Giant knew who he was. But there's also, you know who John Cena was? Never give up, hustle, respect, loyalty. That was great.

341.193 - 348.995 Tommy Dreamer

And you have stuff like that or people who know who you are. I feel Roman Reigns knows who he is once his character gets there.

350.92 - 351

I...

352.077 - 379.707 Tommy Dreamer

Bless you. I want to get back to the AI for one second. So in the Zarya Sol Ruka promo package, you had Zarya parting the Red Sea. It was almost like a dream sequence. It was very out there. It was different. It was unique. I'm not saying that I want to see the wrestling business go in that direction. But I didn't think... Actually, I thought the package was good. I thought it was different.

379.827 - 413.888 Tommy Dreamer

I thought it was creative. I've never seen a feud or a final goodbye wrapped up that way. Yes, normally it is face-to-face. They tried to do something different. And everybody on social media was in an uproar about it. And I didn't understand why. Like, I'm looking at it for face value. Like, yes, this was entertaining. The Firefly Funhouse or all of the crazy stuff that they did with Bray Wyatt.
