16 Dec 2022

Description

How much do you know about couples counseling or couples therapy besides what you may have seen in trashy reality TV representations? To us, it feels like couples therapy is still a rather taboo subject, despite the idea of individual therapy gaining more mainstream acceptance. So what do you do when your relationship is facing repeated issues that you're not able to solve, but you're embarrassed to ask friends or family about professional help? Today we're sharing our personal experiences with couples counseling/couples therapy, and we hope by talking transparently with you about it, we'll encourage those of you who have been wanting to seek out help, to do so. From why we were initially interested in seeking out this resource, to different methodologies that we've encountered, to how it's different from individual therapy, to how we found our resources, to if we think couples counseling/therapy is really necessary for all couples... we open up about it all! Are you interested in couples counseling? Are you already in it? What has been the most valuable thing you've gotten out of it? Or why would you NOT want to seek out this resource? Let us know in the comments on our Instagram or TikTok!
