As the time of the attack drew nearer, the coterie ushered the festival-goers away from the north end. Everett ordered Val to break the generator powering the festival, and Evangeline sang “Closing Time” at karaoke, while Doris sang her own version, inducing a mild panic about snakes, but nevertheless clearing everyone out.
