A radiologist completes medical school and then receives specialized training in medical imaging. In addition to medical training, they are continually kept up-to-date with the latest radiologic technologies. Types of standard imaging tests they oversee and analyze include MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computed tomography) scanning, X-ray, and ultrasound. They also ensure that the imaging machines are well-maintained and are safe for use. The role of a Radiologist is very critical in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
