004 | Noisy le grand with Adrien: Can grandparents pass down fluent Cantonese to their grandchildren?
15 Feb 2021
In today’s episode, Jade learns about the story behind Adrien’s Cantonese and life journey. After fleeing from the Cambodian genocide in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to Vietnam, and later to France, Adrien’s family finally settled down in Paris. Although both of Adrien’s parents were born in Vietnam, Adrien held on to his cultural identity through speaking fluent Cantonese and also enjoying traditional Cambodian food from his family.
