Braden Kutz's group beats Caleb Malhotra's group in the first game, 3-2. Both Kutz and Malhotra find the back of the net.

You actually went further than I was prepared to. Look, it's cool for the Canucks to be doing this event. The pace is good. Honestly, you get to see some individual skills. Now, pretty early for a three-on-three game to pull the goalie with over two minutes left. and it immediately backfires on them and they give up an empty net goal. I have a rule for the two of you. I'm not sure about that coaching decision. No play-by-play? No, if you yell O, you have to do play-by-play.

And then, you know, I would say modestly complaining, like, why wasn't this faster when his team didn't get another chance to go on the attack and tie it? You like to see that little competitiveness come out, especially in a totally educational, well, it is a competitive environment, but a totally educational environment.

I'll just note, spare a thought for Aiden Celebrini, the lone defenseman as part of group three here, because they only have five defensemen at this camp.
