Yeah, well, it's a pleasure to be here as well, interviewing you as well. Always been a big fan of you from the time I met you in St. Kitts and we was part of the Super 50 2019. The pressure's on, and that's the thing, like, once you hear that, okay, you've got 30 seconds to do this, like, it's just... I was trying to name Caribbean ones, and I got lost there, I didn't know what to say after. You just tried to jump all over the place. Yeah, good job, though, good job, good job, good job. I met you in 2019 and been following your career since then but I want to ask you like how has your journey been in cricket like how you started off how you fall in love with the game cricket um to be honest with you I'll say
I started with my dad. He used to play semi-professional cricket and he used to always be out on the weekends, even playing windball cricket as well. So I literally just used to go with him every weekend and I think I found a love for the game after that. And from there, it was all about just playing in the yard, playing with my friends, and playing with my family as well. So, yeah, I just got a big love for the game from then, and I was just excited, man. I used to love watching cricket. Obviously, we had amazing legends, Brian Lara, Ramneesh Sawan, Chandrapal, those guys. And, yeah, I just had a huge love for the game, and from there, it just kicked off.

How did Amir Jangoo's journey shape his skills as a wicketkeeper-batter?
a big love for sports like cricket especially like especially with the past generation and always having that good following in terms of like having the legends behind you and have role models and stuff like that and I know Brian Lai is one of your role models yeah definitely number one yeah definitely yeah how did you like own your skills as a wicketkeeper batter
At the start, it was really mainly batting. When I went to the Queen's Spa coaching clinic, I was a batsman. That's what I loved doing. And from there, I think when I went to primary school, they had a cricket team, but they didn't have a wicketkeeper. So that's why I was like, okay, I'll do it. And from there, I started to enjoy it, to be honest. I think it's a skill that helps me get into teams as well. It's very important. Obviously, you're a good batter, but once you have another skill as well, it really helps you in that case. and from there from primary school I went to secondary school being a wicketkeeper playing zonal cricket and obviously going up the youth ranks in regional cricket I wicketkeeper as well so yeah just really enjoy it obviously it's tough on your body but at the end of the day obviously we're doing this for a living and you're just enjoying it you know so yeah I actually look up to Kumar Sangakkara as well amazing he's an absolute gun yeah so I think watching him
