Bryan Norcross: 50 years of broadcasting weather [Ep. 397]

27 Jan 2022

Description

Meteorologist Bryan Norcross has been broadcasting weather for over 50 years. You may know him from his seven years at The Weather Channel. Norcross is the hurricane specialist of all tropical specialists. He currently works at WPLG-TV in Miami, Florida, where he also worked in the 80s alongside years at another Miami station, WTVJ. During those latter years, Norcross made a name for himself covering Hurricane Andrew. On this week's episode of the Carolina Weather Group, Norcross reflects on his years in broadcasting and his unique pathway into television weather beginning first as an engineer in Atlanta, the city where he'd later find himself working at Ted Tuner's startup cable network CNN. When he's not on television, Norcross can be found on social media, his blog, and his tropics site, https://www.hurricaneintel.com.  Learn more about Bryan Norcross at https://bryannorcross.com/.
