In this episode, Stephane De Wit, MD, PhD, discusses the benefits of long-acting antiretroviral therapy (ART) for migrant populations in Europe—and specifically in Belgium. He also addresses some of the challenges of accessing and following up with those populations.Dr De Wit describes some of the ways that the Belgian healthcare system is set up to improve access to ART. He then explains some of the disease parameters for considering expanding the use of long-acting ART to patients who are not virologically suppressed.
