doug's story: a story of triumph, redemption, & humility-part 1

On this episode, I sit down with Doug Buggle. A man with a heart of gold and quite a story to tell. Doug is a father of two and a recent survivor of narcissistic abuse from his covert narcissistic ex-wife of almost 12 years. Having had no knowledge of what a narcissist even was, he recounts what it felt like to be under the spell of the narcissist, the toll it took on his physical and mental health, and how he escaped the toxicity. He has written a book called: "Goodbye Tammy, Third Time Was Not the Charm: Surviving Narcissistic Abuse" As someone who comes from a toxic family, particularly, surviving the emotional abuse of my covert narcissistic mother, his stories are chillingly relatable. We discuss what it is about the narcissist that is so captivating and when his eyes started to open.
