Description

Send us a textGrow old. Get fast. Don't die. In Phil's words, the Midlife Cyclist's author, these three things encapsulates exactly what the book is about. We are living as the first generation of human beings who have exercised heavily after the age of 40. The book looks into the effect of exercise on our heart, hormones and musculoskeletal system. We evolve some ideas of how to stay healthy and injury free after the age of 40. This book contains some great do's and don'ts  for the cyclist both those starting out after being exercise silent and plenty for the hard core lifetime cyclist. We are joined by the books biggest fan, Guy Pearson of Pearson cycles fame. He is currently injured and having had the longest time off the bike he can ever remember, reading this book has helped him put many things into perspective. For those that don't know me, Craig McLean, I'm not only a chiropractor but a nearly 50 year old amateur racing cyclist who's been riding with team 'Nuun Sigma Sports' for nearly a decade. Another midlife cyclist who still regularly competes with the upcoming future GB stars of cycling, both on the velodrome and road. I hope you enjoy the chat recorded in Cyclefit HQ Covent Garden.
