I know metabolic adaptation and reverse dieting has become a hot topic and as a new coach there are times I'm confused about what's the best approach for my clients when getting started. For example I'll have obese clients coming to me with lots of dieting history and reporting low calorie intake but do you think this is more a matter of under reporting and it's safe to take them right into a fat loss phase? I've heard recently that it's less likely that metabolic adaptation is occuring in those with lots of weight to still lose. Do you have any thoughts on this? (18:25) - Hey Cody! Love the podcast. I still do 1-2 hours of steady state cardio a day and lift 4x a week but I’ve already gotten so fluffy :( I have tracked calories for years, so I’ve even bumped them down to 1200! This isn’t even sustainable and I don’t know what else I can do, just accept this season of life? Or do you think my body will adjust?
