That was a good, terrible game. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. That was a good, terrible game. No, for sure. Let's go ahead and hop into it, man. The 49ers jumped on the coach's neck.
Chapter 6: Who was named the Defensive Player of the Week?
I mean, they really jumped on him late, but it was a lot of scoring back and forth, 48 to, what, 27? Yes. He's got the ball. Old man Rivers. Man, he go deep on that first one. That thing was like short on everything. Yeah, he put his whole heart and soul into it, too. Yeah, that didn't... I ain't gonna lie. It didn't look good. Next play, they ended up false starting.
I think Taylor got him a nice run, about seven, finding the hole, being a little patient, making his way through there. And then... He hit him again on the short crossing route right there. I think they were manned up. He ended up taking the 19. Next play, he fires one to downs. I think it was like 18. That was a good pass, though. Yeah, no, for sure, for sure.
He gets some out there that look all right, and then he gets some that look like he ain't got it. It's the longevity.
Chapter 7: How do the 49ers' offensive strategies impact their success?
It's how long he's going to be able to do it. A lot of his passes, it looked like he was putting his heart and soul into it. He threw more passes further than 10 yards than I expected, 1,000%. I told you, old man, Roots is going to come through for you, boy. I think DB made a nice play on that second down, though.
I think they got to third and eight and picked up, what was it, 14, but they had an illegal formation that pushed them back to third and 13th. And then he hits downs again. That boy twist and spin his way to a first down for 13. And then second down, he hits Pierce for 20-yard touchdown, baby. Mm-hmm. That was aāhe alsoāhe caught somebody offside, so it was aāyou know what I'm saying?
They had a free play. Get it going.
Chapter 8: What are the upcoming matchups for NFL Christmas Day?
The one thing he does have, though, Phillip Riversā He throws the ball. You know what I'm saying? He didn't have that much power, but he's leading the receivers. He's able to put it in the right spots. So not as much power, not as much force, but good ball. Yes, no question. 7-0. San Francisco get out there, and I think second down, Purdy was on all night, man. Nice catch for 26.
I think the first down, they ended up getting theā¦ What was it, McCaffrey? Bro, they walked the ball down the field easily. They scored damn near every, like, at the beginning, like, they walked the ball, their possession. The offense was flowing, moving, the motions. Christian McCaffrey, Kittle, everybody. They had people on balance. Colts couldn't stop them at all.
You know, it wasn't Yeah, it got it got ridiculous. But they kept a minute man. That was a that was a little dump pass to McCaffrey. He went for six then he ran the next one for nine. And I think second down is when Purdy hit Robinson for the 22 yard touchdown and boys went down there and like six plays three minutes. A little over three minutes and scored real fast. Yes.
So I'm looking, if you're the Colts and your defense didn't step up for you, you got the old man Rivers. They drove it down, they scored, and then they just made it look too easy, too fast. Like defense didn't even, nobody had a chance to breathe. Then you kick the ball off. Y'all get the ball, kickoff return. Come on, Devo. On board a rock. You let the man punch it out.
San Fran recovers that thing. I think, what is it, on like the 25, something like that. Yes, bro. Dude. First down, Purdy hits Kittle for like 12. And then back-to-back runs. Like, they were supposed to be able to be, like, stop the run. Like, they didn't do a good job of stopping the run at all. They were off balance the entire game. You didn't know what they'd do.
You didn't know what Purdy was going to do. You didn't know what the offense. And they're motioning people all over the place. You know what I'm saying? Like, that offense, they just look so in control. So, like, the Colts' defense had to ā if you weren't going to stop them ā The two runs that McCaffrey did, man, that put him at first and goal at the first. I think second down.
McCaffrey finished it off with a two-yard reception from Purdy. 14-7. I ain't going to lie, man. Like, the game is still close, bro. No, it is.
It is.
But look, it's only been three drives, and they've made it look so easy that I'm like, unless you can change my view of making Brock Purdy and them look like they have to hesitate or like, But at the same point in time, their defense wasn't looking great. Hell, Indy came back out there. For sure, you're right. First play. They fighting. Rivers to downs. Second one, I think it was Taylor.
