Chapter 8: What questions were answered in the Q&A segment?
Matt LaFleur said today, we're playing the Pittsburgh Steelers who happen to have Aaron Rodgers. It's as simple as that. That's for you guys to talk about. Granted, I mean, we've got a lot of love and respect for Aaron. We know what he's done here. I mean, he's a Hall of Famer. And I know... Like our past together, we had a lot of great moments, but the game is not about that.
Coach O, what's the biggest statement? Aaron Rodgers taking out his former team or Jordan Love outplaying his old mentor? I think as a Green Bay Packer fan, organization, coaches, hell, fans in general, you would want Jordan Love to outplay your quarterback that used to be there for a decade plus. That's what you want to happen. All the coaches are going to say all the right things.
Yeah, damn, they're two decades.
Huh?
Damn near two decades. Obviously, the coaches are going to say all the right things. Oh, it's not about Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, whatever. You know what it is. You know what the storylines are going to be with this week coming up. And you want your players that's in your locker room, especially at the quarterback position, to not only play well, but to be Aaron Rodgers.
Because you want that to be the headline. You want that to be what they talk about after the game is over. Everybody will say the right thing. Listen to Tom Brady talk now. Oh, I hyped up everybody. But in the actuality, what I'm telling my team, we're going to kick his ass. We're going to kick their ass. I've been saying that. Yeah, they're going to say all the right things.
Oh, look, it's just another opponent. They just happen to be on our schedule. Bull jive. No, it ain't just another opponent. It's not. Aaron Rodgers is upset with how he was treated his last couple of years there. He didn't want them to draft Jordan Love. He made that abundantly clear. Yes. They were tired of being held hostage by Aaron Rodgers.
The same thing, Aaron did the same thing that Brett Favre did. They got tired of it. They got tired of Brett not wanting to come to training camp, not wanting to do anything but play in the game. They got tired of Aaron doing the same thing, so they drafted his replacement. Production intolerance. As long as production is here, tolerance will be here.
Tolerance will never, ever outweigh production. I don't care what line of work you're in. As long as you produce, they'll tolerate a lot of issues from you. The moment tolerance is more than production, you gotta go. But I mean, if I'm Aaron Rodgers, I ain't got – Aaron Rodgers ain't got nothing to hang his head about.
