Is she up?
Okay, hold on, we know. What happened, bud? It goes off on the WBC.
Chapter 4: What advice did Lawrence Taylor give to Abdul Carter?
Crawford says all the sanctioned bodies accepted what he paid them, and he's not paying $300,000 in a sanctioning fee to the WBC. The WBC says he owes. According to the WBC, Crawford allegedly earned $50 million for that fight.
Chapter 5: What is the significance of the PrizePicks segment?
Appreciating the magnitude of the event, the WBC modified its rule to limit the boxer's bout fee to 0.6%. sanctioning fee instead of the typical 3% the WBC rules regulations require.
Chapter 6: How do sanctioning fees impact professional boxing?
The WBC was going to allocate 75% of the Crawford boxing bout to the Jose Suleiman Boxers Fund, which goes to go to fighters that's down on their luckness, whatever the case may be. With the WBC had no choice but to act considering champion Crawford had received ample notifications. and multiple opportunities to address and resolve the situation.
The WBC sitting now on the line between Christian Mbili. Oh yeah, Ocho, that's the one we saw. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He knocked out, he just knocked out somebody recently. I can't remember. The dude, remember he was fighting, they were throwing them haymakers? Yeah.
Chapter 7: How do athletes cope with financial pressures after retirement?
It was a draw. He had a draw the last fight. That was the one before Bud. The black dude, the African dude with all the muscles. Yeah, I think I know who you're talking about. Yeah. And Hamaz Sharif in a mandatory bout. Damn, man. And Bud responded, too. Bud responded. He talked about all the other... title holders, you know, WBO, IBF.
They accepted what he gave them.
Yeah, you say everybody accepted the same amount of money after those fights. And for some reason, regardless of what was written, regardless of what you just read, they wanted more for him to be able to attain and hold on to the WBC belt. And he was like, nah, I'm not paying more. And then they want an apology of some sort. And, I mean, it's a mess. But, I mean... I understand it.
I can see it from Crawford's standpoint in a sense. Obviously, something is wrong with it and he doesn't see fit. And for him to go off the way he did, which is uncharacteristic of him, very uncharacteristic of him. So, I mean, obviously, I have no choice but to be on his side because this is something that he wouldn't do. Yeah.
Yeah.
You got to pay the box? No, you got to pay for the belt. Them belts cost, Joe. You got to pay a sanction fee for them belts. I ain't paying for no trophy. Yeah, Joe, you gotta pay, you gotta pay, you gotta pay to keep the belts. Hold on, hold on. So, cause I seen when Bud won, he went back and gave, he went back and gave. He gave, because those, he's like, they're gonna see the new ones, yeah.
They make new belts.
But when they make the new belts.
You gotta pay for all them new belts. Yeah, you gotta pay for them belts, boy, yeah. Yeah, when you see fighters coming to the ring, you got to pay a sanctioning fee for them belts, Joe, to keep them. Yeah. And if you don't pay the fee, then they take them. They strip them from you. You don't fight a mandatory, they'll take the belt from you.
