Okay, so I have a recommendation before we dive in. You must. You must because we were talking about this at lunch. We were talking about this at lunch. The last episode that we recorded is the Chloe Ayling case where she was kidnapped and this guy pretended he was part of this big criminal organization. The Black Death. The Black Death. If you watched that episode and are looking for something else, and also if you watch this one and you're looking for something else, I did an episode on Heart Starts Pounding. I did a two-part series in February of 2024 on Sandra Clifton's disappearance and And that case is very similar to the Chloe Ayling one in the sense of it was this guy who was like telling people in his life that he had a lot more power than he actually did.
He convinced a woman to just self isolate in an apartment for years, thinking that if she left the apartment, someone was going to kill her because he told her he worked with MI6 and that he was a spy. And really, he was just like a normal guy. But. That story was crazy. So it's the I did a series. It's called Love and Lies, part one and two. There's Sandra Clifton and then the captor. But it's a really, really interesting story.
It's so insane. That's why I'm like, there's so many stories out there that are so unbelievable and yet real. Like it's it's clear it happened. It's real. I know. Today's case is another one.
It's one of those, I mean, not to call it a head-scratcher, but it really, to me it is. It's one that I, it just doesn't make any sense.
