Ola Adams is the defensive analyst and analytics coordinator for Penn State. Prior to Penn State, Coach Adams served as the assistant defensive backs coach for the Denver Broncos. He was the defensive coordinator for Villanova before his jump to the NFL. In this segment from his talk at the Lauren’s First and Goal Clinic, which he titled “Organized Chaos”, Coach Adams discusses his third down philosophy and strategy. He gives his approach to this critical down, sharing insight both on what he likes to do, as well as highlighting what offenses like to do in each third down category. Coach Adams takes a very organized approach to third down because he knows his defense’s success is critical to the success of the team in winning the game.
