After being rejected by Urban Meyer, Texas is in an awkward position with Tom Herman

Texas brass performed a coaching search without having a vacancy. Now that top target Urban Meyer has said no, the Longhorns find themselves in a horrible situation with fourth-year head coach Tom Herman (who has plenty of beef with Meyer that makes this story all the more juicy). Should Texas cut its losses, the bill will be $25 million. Or the Longhorns can move on with Herman as a lame duck. Neither option sounds nearly as Meyer, but there's no going back now.
