Brett Favre's $5M Welfare Scandal

(3:22) Brett Favre has been implicated in a civil lawsuit where former Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant helped Favre obtain funds to build a volleyball facility at the University of Southern Mississippi, where his daughter played. It is reported that this scheme misappropriated at least $5 million of welfare funds were channeled onto building the volleyball facility. A State audit found that the Department of Human Services misspent millions of dollars in federal welfare grant funds where $94 million of the $98 million was in question. A separate audit discovered that $77 million was improperly used by the Mississippi welfare program. Text messages have surfaced between Favre, non-profit director Nancy New and former Governor Bryant were working together to deceive and misappropriate the funds.
