4. How to Prioritize Your Dreams While Doing All the Things

During the very first episode of this show, I shared with you this podcast is a dream come true for me. If you haven’t given it a listen, please do! It’s a goodie. I spoke about my internship at a radio station with a dazzling dream to be a morning radio show host. As life would have it, I ended up building a career elsewhere. Fast forward to now, over 20 years ago that dream of being a morning radio show host is actualized as you listen to this podcast! You could actually be the one making my dream come true at this very moment by listening to this show in the morning! Just know that whether afternoon or evening rendezvous work better for you, you’re still apart of making this dream a reality. There are a couple of themes I want to explore: the timeframe we put on a dream and how we get so disconnected from them as we start adulting. Whether it takes 5 instead of 2 or 20 instead of 10, no matter what timeframe you put on it, it will probably take longer than you think. It isn’t so much about the outcome as it is about the journey. You can touch the dream everyday or as often as you like. You just have to make time for it, just like anything else in life that has significance and importance. It’s easy to feel unfulfilled or out of touch with yourself when we don’t do the things that make you feel fulfilled and well, at home within yourself. I promise you do have time. Even if you don’t have a lot of time these days, I bet you could give yourself the gift of 1% and a smidge of your time each day. It may start out as quality over quantity, but once you get started and feel that aliveness, it’ll become a necessity to have quality and quantity within the same experience.
