It’s the day of Love! Happy Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, Bae Day or whatever you’re celebrating! Commercially this day is all about the lover’s, but I want to recognize and be grateful for all the love in our lives. Looking at our 2 greatest loves: 1. Self love 2. Love that surrounds us Self Love: There can be a lot of self judgement and self loathing, but we need more self love and compassion. It’s not about your relationship status - Anybody can hold a title: single, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife or boo thang or whatever the Facebook definition is. It’s not so much about your relationship status, but more about the status of our relationships. The most important relationship you’ll ever have is the relationship you have with yourself. The relationships you have are a reflection of the love you have for yourself. Love on yourself a little extra today! - Love yourself for who you were. - Love yourself for who you are. - Love yourself for who you becoming. Love yourself as is, who you are in this very moment. Self improvement is my jam because so much of life is about embracing who you are and becoming the best version of yourself in this life. Through living life and doing my own work I’ve seen first hand how focusing in on my own healing and working on me the better quality my relationships have become. Honor, respect and love yourself unconditionally. Show yourself the kind of love you want to receive from others. The love that surrounds you: Look around your life and be grateful for all the love that surrounds you. - a special someone in your life - Family - Those who you’ve claimed as family - Friends - Coworkers, neighbors, regulars at the grocery store, within your community, etc. Think of all the people you have in your life. How blessed you are to have all this love in your life. There is love all around you! Today take a few moments to revile in gratitude and reflect on all the love in your life. If you’re not seeing/feeling the love today, remember just like everything else, it’s a mindset. Whether you think you have it or don’t, love like anything else is a mindset. Be reminded YOU ARE LOVE. You are love in its purest form. If there are things in your life that have calcified you, it’s time to focus on your healing so that you can get back to your truest state. You are love therefore you’re always surrounded by love. Count yourself blessed and embrace love today! This is a day of love, so send love and positive vibes out to everyone you can think of.
