Tell us what what is the risk of them and and what is the law, I suppose.
Well, the risk is huge. I mean, it research that's come out now basically is saying that there's such a hu a really a really high risk. um that you could experience psychosis.

Um and the research is there. Um people are currently, you know, in psychiatric care because they they've taken these vapes. But the interesting thing is it it was obviously banned.
How did HHC become illegal yet remain available under the counter?
Yeah.
H H C was actually banned last year. So by all intents and purposes, they should not be readily available to be sold in shops, but they are. So when I sent my But they're half inch this up. Um he was looking for HHZ C. Yeah. Now I don't know my talolingo.

But they gave him a vape that was HHZ.

So basically they're trying to get around the regulations and they're rebranding them and but they still contain like these this really lethal potent cannabis.

So that's uh you know, that's THC is the active ingredient in in cannabis. So it's a chemic it's the chemical basically that g makes you high. People have been smoking marijuana. since humans first started recording history. But it's it's not the the the the bit that gets people highest the the THC, which is the cannabid uh chemical derivative. So

What the vapes have done is they've they've basically isolated THC originally and they put it in liquid form and people vape it like they vape normal stuff. That was straight away gonna be illegal and it people could teenagers could can buy these t buy THC vapes on online, but it's against the law. To get around that law, they they started selling these things called H H C. Now this is a bit of a a a basic summary and HHC is is it's hextrahydro cataboil basically.
I didn't want to pronounce that.
Right. So it's just a slightly different chemical formula to THC, but it's still a cannabid. And this has happened loads of times in this country. THC is the active ingredient and that was in the law. If something has a THC level of, you know, whatever, it's illegal. So they were getting around the law by slightly altering the chemical formula. adding another can another bit of uh carbon basically to the formula.
Yeah.
And it was legal for a long time. In Ireland up until last year.
Yeah, yeah. And now I feel like they're doing that again because on this particular vape it says ninety-nine percent superior blend. I obviously went digging and I could not find any of the ingredients in this particular vape. And then obviously I was speaking to my case study.

Um Jacob and he was buying these vapes up until about a month ago.
Yeah.
Um and he spoke about the detox process and how basically he thought he was dying of a heart attack when he attempted to come off these vapes.
And of course there we do believe that there's still vape shops where are standing under the counter H H C you know, vapes that are illegal. And people keep saying that because you as you said, you spoke to this guy. What was his experience? Like when did he start taking them and what was the difficulties he encountered?
