What sort of crowd are you expecting for St Kilda Port on a Saturday afternoon?
Oh, gee, I don't know. There's still, I think, a few state supporters still away on holidays, I think. So, yeah, I don't think it'll be huge, but hopefully we get a good crowd in.
There's been a lot of noise around Corian, right? Not just for Carlton, but also Essendon. Does the club support his pursuit of being a senior coach elsewhere?
Yeah, look, absolutely. You don't ever really want to lose quality people. And he's a great operator, been a great person working with our club. But at the same time, and I think most clubs are pretty clear on this, you don't want to block a career opportunity for an assistant coach. And if they get a chance to have a gig, as a senior coach, then you back them in for it. We support that.
Would you ever consider a succession plan that would keep Corey Enright at the club for whenever Ross Lyon wants to step away?
Yeah, I think that was talked about a couple of years ago, but I don't think we wanted to sort of formalise that and pick out one of our assistants to do that, I think. We wanted sort of more equality between the different assistant coaches. So we didn't go down that path specifically.
So in other words, you're sort of prepared to lose him if he does get another job elsewhere, even though you don't want to lose him.
Yeah, exactly right. I think that's part of the gig. You accept that as a club, and most clubs do. So we'd wish him all the best if he does it. We sort of hope, you know, quietly that he doesn't. But, you know, if he does, we'll back him 100%.
Where did Ross Lyon and Lockie Neal go for dinner last Friday night?
I think it's an old pub that Ross used to go to, I think, when he was in Carlton days, I think. But yeah, I don't know the specific one. But yeah, they had a bit of a laugh about that, obviously.
