What should Americans know about living near cell towers?
What should the average American know about buying a home that is really close to a cell tower? That exposure is real. You can't feel it. You can't see it. You can't smell it. It is impacting you. Things like nausea, dizziness, brain fog, headaches, insomnia. There's no long-term studies done on what happens when you have a generation of children growing up from cradle to grave exposed to RF radiation at all times. We know that it causes harm. It's not a question. The question is, why isn't the FCC or any of the governing agencies doing anything to make sure that what's happening right now is being regulated and looked at?
We are now living inside a nonstop cloud of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G towers, AirPods, smart homes, smartwatches, baby monitors, wireless classrooms, and massive data infrastructure. And yet, most Americans have never been told what the long-term health data actually says about any of this, or whether modern safety standards have kept up with the technology itself. At the same time, Congress is considering legislation called HR 2289 that could strip local communities of meaningful control over where exactly wireless towers are placed.
How does wireless technology impact our health?
And that includes near schools, neighborhoods, churches, and playgrounds. And despite how massive that sounds, Most people have never even heard of this bill. Joining me today is Stephanie LaRiccio, Senior Advocacy Manager at Children's Health Defense and founder of Wellness Warriors Revolution. Stephanie works directly with families and communities advocating for informed consent, local control, and greater transparency around children's health and environmental exposures. Before we start, please leave a five-star review. Tell me who I should interview next. Please welcome 5G expert Stephanie Lauricio, Senior Advocacy Manager at Children's Health Defense to Culture Apothecary. We're living in a world with 5G, Wi-Fi, smart homes, Bluetooth. When was the last time that any of this stuff was tested for safety data?
30 years. So the RF exposure guidelines have not been updated since the 90s. And I want you to go back in time with me and think about what our phones and our technology looked like in the 90s.
What is HR 2289 and why is it significant?
We had flip phones where you couldn't text at first. And then when you could, you had to hit the button like 17 times. You couldn't stream movies. You couldn't connect to Bluetooth. You couldn't connect to Wi-Fi. Very basic functions. So if you look at the modern world and where we are with technology, CHD, the people that I'm affiliated with, we're not anti-technology. We're just pro-safe technology and having updated guidelines that actually meet where we are in the real world and not looking at an outdated model that basically the studies were done in the 80s on monkeys and rats to just test for heat. there's no long-term studies done on what happens when you have a generation of children growing up from cradle to grave essentially and in the womb exposed to rf radiation at all times we know that it causes harm it's not a question the question is why isn't the fcc or any of the governing agencies doing anything to make sure that what's happening right now
is being regulated and looked at to ensure that we're not creating long-term health issues that we know nothing about. I mean, we know right now people have a spectrum of all types of issues ranging from headaches to dizziness, to nausea, to vomiting, all the way to like brain fog, which happens all the time. But people, cancers, infertility, neurological issues, learning disabilities, like there's so many things that are happening now, tens of thousands of studies proving harm. And yet the FCC, though they were asked to update and give us written explanation on why these outdated standards still prove that this is healthy for the environment and for humans, five years ago, this request was made.
We still have received zero from them.
