On the first day of KubeCon the thing I heard most clearly was that you don't need a Service Mesh. There were two panels, both of which had Matt Klein in them, that were talking about Service Mesh. The gist of the conversation was that Service Meshes are not quite ready yet. That they add tremendous complexity along with clear benefits, but those benefits are only realized by certain types of applications and organizations. I thought I would reiterate this a bit and compare it to the larger tech world and Kubernetes at large. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/nedinthecloud Website: https://nedinthecloud.com Pluralsight: https://app.pluralsight.com/profile/author/edward-bellavance GitHub: https://github.com/ned1313
