Today, we're going to explore a gentle practice that can help you create a little breathing room in your day.Find a comfortable position, whether you're sitting or lying down. Let your body settle, like a leaf coming to rest on still water. Close your eyes if that feels comfortable, or soften your gaze. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling your chest and belly expand, and then slowly exhale through your mouth. Let that breath be like a soft wave washing away the tension you've been holding.Now, I want you to imagine your stress as clouds drifting across the sky of your mind. These clouds are real, they're present, but they're not permanent. With each breath, notice these clouds - some might be heavy, some light - but you don't need to fight them or push them away. Simply observe them passing.As you breathe, place one hand on your heart. Feel the gentle rise and fall, the steady rhythm that's been with you all day. Each breath is an anchor, pulling you back to this moment. When your mind starts to wander - and it will, that's completely normal - just gently bring your attention back to your breath, back to the sensation of your hand on your heart.Imagine each inhale is drawing in calm, each exhale is releasing whatever no longer serves you. You're not trying to change anything, just witnessing. Like a kind friend watching clouds move across the sky, you're watching your thoughts and feelings with compassion.As we come to a close, take one more deep breath.
