Episode 27, part 1: Carl Knif – Vinterresa

Carl Knif is a dancer, choreographer, and the artistic director of Carl Knif Company in Helsinki. He visited Dancepod when he was in the later stages of his creation ‘Vinterresa‘, a new solo made for Skånes Dansteater’s dancer Madeleine Månsson. The episode is divided in two parts. In part 1 we learn more about Carl’s personal relationship to dance. How dance saved him and still helps him to find courage and closeness to other people.In part 2 we dive into the work itself, sharing the thinking behind ‘Vinterresa‘.
