Matthew was sitting outside, watching the primary entrance of the office building in Paddington, Central London, when the girl in the silver mask landed on his car. Trying to find out where she worked, he’d followed his wife Anastasia that morning, and at first, thought it was her as she was wearing the same blue dress. He jumped out in a panic and was so relieved when he realised, the dead girl wasn’t Anastasia. The mask had come off on impact and blood was streaming out of her head, running down the side window making a pool on the road. People started screaming and gathered around, taking pictures and videos on their phones as two security men rushed out of the building looking up and keeping people away until the police arrived. Matthew was still in shock, heart pounding and his mind was racing... Then he realised that all the girls who worked for the webcam company wore the same blue dress and mask. But who was she and why his car...? Was he being watched...! He could hear sirens in the distance and the police arrived within six minutes, asking everyone for any information, but as it was so sudden, nobody saw anything and Matthew was inside the car. The police told him to leave the car and report to the police station to make a statement as soon as possible; it was a murder inquiry. He dived inside the office building and looked at the board on the wall listing all the companies, but with 54 floors the list was huge and he had no idea what he was looking for. He took a taxi to the police station and made a statement saying he'd just parked up and was going for a walk. They told him his car was probably a write off and it would be available in the police car pound for inspection, and to contact his insurers. That evening he waited anxiously for Anastasia to come home, she usually arrived at 7 pm but by 7.30 she still hadn't arrived. He was getting concerned so called her phone.
